Re: What rod handle material do you prefer?

There’s a special way they cure their grips they have yet to divulge to me. Been trying! If I can readily cure them so they have all the same properties and durability, I’ll dive in head first. Are you curing yours in any special way? That’s a pretty technical grip. Cool stuff. 😎 I put epoxy throug...

Re: What rod handle material do you prefer?

Higher-end mid-grade cork (AAAA) to flor grade cork is my favorite. Carbon Fiber is a VERY close second. Followed by AA cork. I could likely switch to all CFX, all the time, if they could customize their products a little more. I make do currently, but I have some wishes still in the lengths and di...

As i know, those Zentron blended blanks what came earlier ( Delta series ) are quite impressive also. Its very light and durable. I have one rod, NFC MB 795 Delta and i love it.

Re: Steez Air vs Steez CT w/shallow spool

Very impressive results! I bought that Roro spools also before last christmas, but haven't tested it yet. No need to buy Steez air then. My personal opinion is if you have a CT, just get the Roro. If you are strictly going to buy a CT to put a Roro spool in it and ONLY use the Roro...I would ...

CFX carbon grips for sure. Absolute amazing material. Most sensitive, most light, durable and very good looking. \:D/

Steez CT SV. I used the stock 80mm handle last season but just switched all 3 that I have to 90mm handles. The reel itself is great for lighter weights but will also handle 3/8 to 3/4 as well. Daiwa hit a home run with this reel.
This! Best reel you can get.

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020

Received Steez air today....as previously noted drag star does not click and no audiable drag sound. Spool weight 8.1grams with bearing. It's too cold to fish in my area so I did few casts in a yard with 2.5 and 5gram plastics, put about 40 yards of 8lb mono on a light rod rated (1/16 to 3/8), don'...

Re: Does the Phenix Feather tickle in the right places?

Friends of mine have built 77MH and H.

As far as i know butt section is very "fat", but wall are paper thin. Heavy were 480g RDA, medium heavy something ~400g. Very light blanks.

Re: Blank recommendation.

Hi. I measure all blanks i build just for fun. Heres some data from me: NFC MB 736 x-ray power is 540-550g. This is my favourite blank with bottom contact fishing with jigs and plastics. Next from it in my table is NMB873-MHX with 575g power. Then NFC MB 709 IM with 621g. Then comes couple Bushido M...
