Re: Scratched up my Bantam, what can I do?

Little known secret...can’t help on the chip... But light scratches... Try.... Magic Eraser....no kidding ... give it a shot. Those little finger nail scratches that you get on inside of door handles on your car/truck... magic eraser makes ‘em go away ! Little known secret is that they've got an ab...

Re: Store brand rods and reels

As hoohoo said above. Tools of the trade can be stanley or sidcrome... The brand doesn't make the mechanic that uses them, they both wear out and brake from being mistreated - but the finish product or achievement comes down to the individual. That said "store bought" tackle does not get the likes o...

I think for me there is a marketable difference between the use of Spin & Baitcast outfits, the baitcaster is more natural to use in RH configuration even with the hand to hand changeover before and after...

Re: Scratched up my Bantam, what can I do?

A few auto products like ScratchX and the like you could try to buff them out, otherwise those Scratch Pens work well. The chip of paint missing above the cast control, you can get a paint pen from a auto colour shop or whatever you've got over there to match close enough to blend in.

Re: New grease suggestions

Not sure I would be keen on that stuff having a free run in the gear box, I have enough trouble controlling it putting it in bearing cups with plenty of cue tip cleanup required to clean up the stringy bits :x Try using a pure bristle small paint brush that's cut down fine and beveled - it can also...

Re: New grease suggestions

Terribly sticky / tacky / tenacious stuff... Its got a propensity to string off the gear and hold to the yolk guide posts upon spinning the gears to work through - so upon applying the yolk springs it holds to those a little too much - enough holds to the gears but by god it strings off bad... Re: Help with my Sol

It'll either be the clutch yolk not sliding down and the pinion gear floating a little over the spool pin as the oils internally can dry out especially in these air conditioning heavy shops or whilst in those cabinets that have halogen down lighting. Pull the spool out and apply a small drop of oil ...

It literally has the feel/consistency of white Elmer's glue lol... Looking forward to your insight re Tef Gel. While not aware what Elmer's Glue is... I've decanted two tubes of th Tef-Gel into a old Body Shop moisturiser jar - that being said it wasn't an easy task whatsoever! Possibly something f...
