Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
Please say you at least paid the extra $5.00 for 2 day shipping. Also, as a few have said, every internet order from most every tackle shop will send you a "shipped" email that is nothing more than an automated reply. Whenever I paid the extra $5.00, I had my order in 2 to 3 days. When I don't pay ...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
You keep calling them "used rods". Were you buying "used rods" from them, or were you the first one to use them? You ordered 2 rods. Shipping was delayed more than you expected. They offered to overnight you a second set of rods to make up for the slow shipping to make it right. You got those rods....

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
Last post on the topic for me. IF I had not been lied to two of three times right off the bat , lied to, as three totally different stories could not possibly be true as to when the rods had actually left The TW warehouse, ( and here is something new to me , shipped to TW means on their truck headin...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
You are not following me if you believe that no less than three very specific stories as to where my rods were amounted to simple mistakes. And again, I would have gladly returned the rods had they worked with me to get them back to them. Basically they demanded their rods back or they would charge ...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
You thought that they were going to give you two free rods because of an error in shipping? Making things right is what it sounds like they tried to do. No, I thought they were giving me two closeout rods because they had been caught lying to me and because after all the frustration in emails and p...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
And again, this , beleive it or not , is the condensed version. They said they were " going to make things right for mistakeS" ,mistakes made by them. I had talked to three different people who told me three different stories about when my rods left their warehouse and why I had been told three tota...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
Well this is just your side of the story. But even going by what you say the free of charge,to me, is clearly meant for the overnight shipping charges not the product. They would give you a shipping label to cover the return of their product, not really an expense to you. But anyways they most like...

Re: Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
That really is too bad that you had that experience. I do think I would have confirmed with TW explicitly that the original shipment was free of charge. I've had quite good experiences with TW. Nothing super outstandingly bad or good. I do think it's kind of funny how many guys have this romantic i...

Tackle Warehouse Customer Service Rod Review
I have no idea where to write this up, but I certainly want people to have open access to this. Powers that be please feel free to move this to the appropriate area. On December 24th of last year I purchased two LC rods from Tackle Warehouse online. A few hours later I was pleasantly surprised to ge...

Re: Shimano rod warranty?
So I guess if this is true...that replacing all the rods impacts the consumer, we should expect Shimano's prices on rods to drop pretty soon as they are saving money. I'm guessing this is not the case. Or, Shimano was not making nearly what they should have ( or needed) on a quality product due to ...

Re: Shimano rod warranty?
And, if you put a rod on the edge of a table and give it a quick ' door slam' whack , you will notice a nice clean break. Take the same rod and bend it as if fighting Moby until it breaks you will notice a much less than clean break. It is easy to tell a slammed in the car door rod. All the rod comp...

Re: Shimano rod warranty?
Call the companies you buy from. Ask them if their warranties and employees are ' by the book , letter of the law ' or are they common sense. You may be surprised at how much leeway they often give...if someone has actually broken a rod during normal use and Shimano refused to warranty it, move up t...
