Re: Missing Rod
My baitcasters are covered. I want a steez AGS 72H for fun but I have a GLX 854 that would suite the same purpose. My missing rod is a 7'2 ML expride( I hope). I'll pair it with Stradic or Vanford. Gonna use it for hair jigs, jigging walleye and throwing spinners for steelhead. It will likely be a n...

Re: A list of great spool swaps
Anybody put sv105 spool in tdz for skipping? I really like my tdz. They palm better for me than alphas platform, also I feel like the tdz transmit vibration from the rod better than aluminum reels.

Re: A list of great spool swaps
I ended up putting a purple rcs 1012 sv spool in my zillion platform sv103. The small inductor casted weightless plastics very well set to 8or9. I didn't think it would break enough to skip with so I swapped the sv103 inductor from my springless spool and I was casting a keitech 4.8 very well on 3. ...

Steez AGS 72H
My local shop has a couple. Think they will give me a deal. I broke tip on my old 71compile-x would be nice to replace it. It wasn't as sensitive as a lot of jig rods I've owned but it would be cool to have something similar. Anyone get any time with this rod? Mostly wondering about the low end of t...

Re: Shimano Expride B Spinning Rods
I'm eyeing the 7'2" ML. For hair jigs, steelhead and walleye. I have a 7'6 ML Fenwick HMG and it's nice for steelies and hair jigs kinda annoyingly long for jigging 'eyes. I'm not big on the grip, I like getting a finger on the blank when retrieving but it's about as much as I like for spinning gear...

Re: Kistler klx tech spec
The 7'3 seems about right power wise outta the box. I've used the 7m Ds. It's more of a medium than I expected based on the 1/8-3/8 lure rating and mod-fast taper suggested. It's got more power and a bit more sensitive than my st.croix 7ft med avids. Heck of a rod for $150 I'm happy with it so far.

Re: Daiwa service department
I’m wondering if anyone has experience with getting reels serviced by Daiwa’s service department. What was your experience like and how was the turn around time? I have gotten my reels serviced by the tackle trap and had a great experience. However I get too worried about shipping all my high end r...

Value spinning reels. Composite vs aluminum
I realize budget, eggbeaters and tackletour don't really mix well but I'll give er anyway. I don't like spending a bunch on spinning reels/rods because I don't use them as much as baitcasters. I do some trout/walleye fishing in spring and a river smallmouth trip that I don't like bringing nice stuff...
