Re: 2016 Shimano Baitcasting Reels
Tailhooked a 20-lb+ carp in heavy current and today landed a 36" musky with the 15 aldebaran and ML Adrena zero problems handling either. Great reels man.

I agree. If you are pitching 1/16 to 3/16 I'd get the Aldebaran.

Re: Rods from Shimreels?
Ordered quite a few smaller things like lures or reels but never rods. Good products but very long shipping. Prefer Japan for sure but I find things from them that I can't find anywhere else.

Re: Question for MB Hedge Hog owners
That's the same line combo I would try using. Been thinking about the rod for awhile. The guides are that small to worry about your braid to leader knot?

Thank you thank you. Recently added an Adrena with a '15 Aldebaran. Pen3 has incredible taste and style. Those look incredible. I might copy those. lol

Probably my top rod series that I dream of daily. Do yourself a favor and slap a Metanium or Aldebaran on that bad boy.

Gorgeous combo. I know next to nothing about those rods but man that reel is sexy. That handle <3 You said it was a light, what length is it?

I've used it for jerkbaits and small jigs. It will not be too light or fast for you. They have backbone like stated above and really are versatile.

Re: *Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2
Yes I think it is the one I'm looking for. I guide on Eagle Lake and smallie fishing is year 'round so aside from the st-lawrence cruisers in deeper water it seems like it would excel on dropping light baits near beds in 2 fow too.
