Re: Ned head shattered my Expride...

Crappy luck. Shimano will replace it for 50% of MSRP.

Re: Need new casting reel within a month, what to do?

How do you feel about round reels? You can get a Conquest 101HG for under $400 from Digitaka. If you like the way the Bantam feels, you'll love a Conquest. Those are basically for high torque applications like deep cranking and big swimbaits, right? I really like smaller reels that I can palm comfo...

Service for a Conquest 51 DC?

I have a Conquest 51 DC that I bought in like new condition. It is cosmetically perfect, but just does not feel smooth compared to my other Conquests. I normally service/"tune" my own reels. I have torn it down pretty far and have not found any issues. I want to send it to someone who can smooth it ...

Re: Studio Composite (Standard Plus)

The 82mm without knobs I ordered on ebay is supposed to ship from Japan on the 7th. :D

If anyone has a handle without knobs or one that will take diawa knobs, I'll pay a fair price or trade one of my SC handles with the R31 EVA foam knobs.

Studio Composite (Standard Plus)

Does anyone know anything about this company? I own a few of their handles, and they are the best I have ever seen. It seems like their models are only ever in stock a few models at a time. I would love to pick up a few of their Shimano RC-SC Plus handles without knobs, but I am not sure I will ever...

Re: '19 Vanquish 2500SHG

Just ordered a c2000SHG. It will be going on a Megabass Destroyer Addermine. It'll be a ned rig/whacky setup. This will be the first non Loomis rod I have bought in a few years.

Re: '19 Vanquish 2500SHG

I know what you mean. I feel like it's worth paying extra for larger spin reels like Saltigas and Stella SWs where they need to perform under heavier loads, and the smaller reels can be any reel (using Stradics at the moment). But whilst I might use a big reel once a year, I use the Stradics almost...

Re: '19 Vanquish 2500SHG

I fished this and my Stella side by side in Guntersville last weekend. I caught on them both, but nothing huge. They are both super smooth, cast a mile, and perform perfect. The Vanquish feels lighter, but the Stella feels more powerful. I would feel more comfortably going for larger species than ba...

Yeah! I'm keen to get the C2500HGS
I was really torn between the two. I like that I can put a 3000 Spool on this frame if needed. That helped justify it for me. The C2500HGS is 10g lighter on an already silly light feeling reel...that's crazy.
