Re: Killer Heat rods
It is about 9000 yen for a one piece rod now. It is getting a bit cheaper recently. ;) I purchased quite a few rods and they were combined in tubes. It saved a little as it came out to about $60 a rod. If you buy them individually it ranges from around $70 to $150, average would be $80 to $100. Goo...

Re: Anyone purchased from JP Angler lately?
Got a rod from them a few months ago. Quick to ship, solid packaging, no issues. Also, one of the better shops for communicating with, I could name two others who straight up don't respond to my emails.

Re: 2024 All new Posion Adrena
How have you liked the rod so far? I'm interested in that one and the 6'10 ul/ml model. I have the old US model 6'10 ul/m and really like it. I'm also curious to see what US models will come out. Haven't gotten much on the water time with it but I like it. The model I got is so niche that I'm not s...

Re: Midstrolling
The majority of folks doing this in Japan are using solid tips. I don't think this is true - solid tips collapse easily and what you want is the opposite to get that rolling action going with minimal effort. Shimano's Excite Top is tubular with added mass at least according to their website. A lot ...

Re: All new steez sv tw
Mine is going on the limited US release 7'3" Real Control rod. Nice! Hadn't heard they were bringing any over. I ordered the new Steez last night. New frame, new spool(boost is new for me). I became interested, haven't bought a Daiwa since the Morethan PE TW. Still rocking my 2015(?) SV TW ...

Re: Midstrolling
I responded to your post in the PG thread. I'm with Hogsticker, those jighead weights are heavy. I'm not too experienced with jighead weight relative to depth just yet but those weight heads are going to really make you have to move the baits fast to maintain a set depth. 1/4oz is probably not too b...

Re: Varivas Super Trout Advance Double Cross 8 PE braid
Have had this line spooled up about a month now in 0.8. No complaints at all and does what it should. Helps minimize the bow in the line from wind too. Definitely really thin. Coming from years of 832 and PP SS V2, I was shocked that this is what 0.153mm is supposed to be.

Re: New Poison Glorious
Got the 2610 ul/m in yesterday. Always was interested in this one and pulled the trigger when I saw one up for sale. UL soft tip, smoothly transitions into a medium butt. Denoted as XF taper, I feel like that's where the UL tip shuts off. Bends smoothly through the upper mid section. Near full shut...

Re: All new steez sv tw
Is the 32mm spool new for Daiwa across all platforms? So, no spool swap options at the moment?
Re: New GLX
How much did these go up in price relative to the previous generation? I was curious about this as well. I thought it was a straight $100 across the board when I saw the price on these. Though, Loomis had their price increase a couple years back and I can't recall what I paid for my past gen GLXs s...

Re: Wanees decal kits
You can get them on Digitaka and get it shipped free with a reel purchase last I checked. A local tuner guy had some reels with these decals on them at a local fishing show. His were the thicker kind from Wanees, semi soft. I got to hold a reel and it didn't feel bad or uncomfortable. Not really my ...

Re: 2024 All new Posion Adrena
I thought Shimano would trickle down their Ci4/cork foregrips from the Glorious, but instead they doubled down on the metal locknut + no foregrip for spinning models...looks even more uncomfortable than the current spinning handles. Yep that's whack. For that reason alone, I will not be getting an ...

Re: Shimano Excite Top Rods
Shimano excite top is NO solid tip, actually may be said to be the opposite. these excite top has a hardened tip section and a softer blank between mid section and the first 4 guides, and the intention is to make it easier to shake the rod tip with minimal force. I own the Poison Glorious 264SUL+ m...
