Re: Calcutta Conquest SE
I fished mine twice now and caught two smaller fish with it. I am running 18# braid to 7# FC leader on it. The rod is a (now old) GLX 892c. The colors of the rod and reel surprisingly pair up very well!! Reel is suuuper smooth! For some reason it feels smoother than my other conquest reels. I am usi...

Re: Finding a cracked guide ring
I use a q-tip and rip the cotton apart so that is very fine (has to be dry!) and looks like a lolli pop. Then I slightly enter the guide and turn the q tip. Any damaged ring will usually catch the cotton of the q-tip

Advice needed regarding splitting the TS Destroyer Blackjack up into two rods
Hi all, I have been fishing the Megabass TS Destroyer Blackjack for a bit longer than a year now and it is a fantastic do it all rod, that I have used for anything from Rats to the Deps 250. With me getting a bit more experience, I have started to play with the idea to expand my swimbait arsenal and...

Re: Looking for a slightly more powerful and versatile rod than the NRX+893c
But that’s not in true TT fashion—you may want to take a look at the Conquest 844 because I think the 843 is more moderate and similar in power to your 893. Haha, you got me there! :D :D :D Don't worry have been eyeing a new heavy swimbait combo for a while.. ;-) In case I will be able to sell my n...

Re: Looking for a slightly more powerful and versatile rod than the NRX+893c
The 873 has bigger guides, and would be more leader friendly IMO. I hate using leaders on rods with smaller guides--I just get hung up too much. I've been using the DRX755 for 3/8 oz finesse jigs and it has worked well for me. I'm fishing the California Delta; so throwing into tulles and the trough...

Re: Looking for a slightly more powerful and versatile rod than the NRX+893c
I don't have the DRX754, but I have the DRX755 and it's feels slightly more powerful than the NRX+ 873crr... I'll check when I get back home and update. Much appreciated! Sorry this is kinda late—forgot until I went to put away some new hooks I got. The 873crr feels more powerful than the DRX755 be...

That's great feedback! Thank you. Conquest 903 has been eliminated from the equation!bronzebacks wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 8:39 amI had the conquest 903c and didn't care for the soft tip that bends deeper than the nrx893

Thanks all!
I was looking at the Conquest 903c and the XTASY 754c as well. How would these compare to the 873CRR?
Thanks again!

Looking for a slightly more powerful and versatile rod than the NRX+893c
Hi all, I am looking to get some informed opinions from you all! :) I have been fishing my NRX+ 893c for quite a while now and while I think it is a great rod, I often feel like I could use a bit more power when I am throwing a 3/8oz texas rigged plastic in some light grass. Hence, I decided to look...
