Maybe I just got a dud or it was banged up during shipping. The reel is in the shop and I should get it back by Friday.

New vs Old avid inshore rods
Was just wondering what the difference between the older avid inshore rod (brown) and the newer one (sea-foam green) was. From what I've read, it seems just to be the guides. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Quietest Braid
I may be purchasing a rod with rec guides which I hear can be noisy especially with braid. Is there any braid that can if not eliminate the noise but decrease it? I've heard suffix 832 and pp super 8 slick are good options?
Thanks
Thanks

13 fishing envy green
I'm looking to purchase a 7'2 mh envy green for inshore use targeting mostly trout and reds. There's not a lot of info online. Are they good? Are there better options? I also hear that the guides can be a turn off for some. Share your opinions.
Thanks
