Re: old core 50 and aldebaran or new
I like both versions. I have two core 50mg7, two aldebaran mg7. Also a Aldebaran 50HG, Aldebaran 50, two Aldebaran 30HG. I use them interchangeably. The older 50E body feels more solid but the newer Aldebarans are crazy light. x2 Not the reels in question, but the 1000 xt and Curado 50e are just be...

Re: Fun catch
One time I was throwing an xrap around, and not getting any bites. One cast I accidentally over-casted onto a nearby dock. It was hanging from one of the railings low enough that the bass could see it. As soon as I pulled it over into the water a small-ish bass slammed it. Learned me a new "techniqu...

Re: Single hook VS Treble hook
Trebles are better in that they stay hooked up, where as with just one hook it is easier to get off. In my experience it's the opposite: maybe a very slight decrease in hookup % depending on the bait, but almost 100% landing ratio once I get a single hook in them. I just meant compared to Owner tre...

Re: Single hook VS Treble hook
I actually prefer them. It is quite the pain to unhook both trebles when they are Owners imo. Trebles are better in that they stay hooked up, where as with just one hook it is easier to get off. Are the singles barbless?

Re: Glx 893c vs. Nrx 893c
I would take the NRX anyday over the GLX in the 893c, even with the recoils.

Re: Vixen Question
I have a few of the original run vixens. Is the second run a smaller size or did they make different sizes? My guess is the vixen is bigger than the barely legal vixen? The ones I have are bigger than one of the "newer" ones I saw recently. There were two sizes yes. The barely legal vixen was the s...

Re: Vixen Question
One guy on TW posted about durability problems on the kicknocker. Curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this as well. Price went up from 15 to 20. Still a lot cheaper than what vixens go for on the second hand market.

The 852c is the most balanced of the bunch, and most sensitive I might add.

Re: Opinions on best Dobyns rod for jigs
I've heard the xstasy rods were a bit disappointing, so I would recommend the HP 744.
