Re: Have you preordered a mb p5 destroyer?
I like jarring sensitivity, the kind that scares you when you swim your bait into a rock  Me too. Zander mentioned that several times he had a fish on, and the rod feedback was that 'something didn't feel right'. I used to get a lot of those kind of bites before I picked up my first Loomis IMX...

Re: A Stick That's Difficult to Pin Down : Megabass's US Destroyer P5 F7-75X BMG
Would you put this rod into some lighter flipping/pitching scenarios? I have been on the constant search for a "punch" rod for way up north. I don't get thick mats, as most of my targets are lilypads mixed with milfoil. I have the 7'10 Kister M.O.D with NFC blank (post MJD version). It feels good b...

Cal, pretty much spot on. Personally I would score the sensitivity higher IMO that's compared to my NRX+ 893/873. The reel seat trigger though will be uncomfortable for some. I enjoy mine very much.

Re: What makes a good drop shot rod and which do you like?
MB P5 baby plugging maybe the finest DS rod I've fished with. I have the new NRX+ 822dsr as well but I prefer the deeper/slower taper of the baby plugging doesn't rebound nearly as quick as the NRX which is something you should look for in a DS rod IMO. Both are rigged at all times and actually have...

Re: MB Zcrank Elseil or something else?
I'm loving my XX Swingfire can handle smaller profile cranks up to 15ft if needed. Examples are a Duo Realis 11a, OSP Blitz EX DR and Blitz Max DR. Much cheaper as well.
Re: Destroyer
Think you'll find the X-bites ranks high on the list in terms of sensitivity in the P5 lineup. Compared to my previous U.S Destroyer Daemos and FMJ most definitely a step up in that department. Fantastic rod IMO. For chatterbaits could probably stick to the Orochi XXX line no need the extra coin for...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYZ0mgzupnY&t=1828s Fast forward to around 29.30 for your answer. I watched it but it didn't really answer my question. My take from it is probably fishes a little heavier than its rating thus why he says ignore the specs of the rod. To me that means fishes very simi...

Re: The F2.1/2-611X KASUMI SIX ELEVEN
Don't own one but description/details of the rod clearly indicates small hardball rod with it's m/l power and slow taper. Probably nice casting spybait rod as well. Honestly if these were your intentions look at the JDM Orochi XXX Rattleviper. I just took owner ship of two Black Elsei II for my jerb...

The Braillist is probably the most popular as your go to jig rod in the lineup. The Diablo Spec R and EMTF most versatile.HobeyBaker wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 10:25 amIs there a rod that is considered the best in this lineup? I have a 8.1 Tatula SV looking for a home.

Currently Tatula Elite on mine. Balance square middle of reel nut. Can easily get away with sub 6oz and still very nice in hands.

Feel the same as post above. But I'll add better balance and more eye candy for the X-bites IMO.

Re: Megabass & the battle for BEST bottom contact rod
I believe a traded for the P5 X-Bites replacement that was reported snapped on this forum. Phenomenal rod, sensitivity is subjective but IMO up there with the king NRX893. Compared to my FMJ, lighter obviously, better balance and more crisp(lively) in hands. And yes sensitivity is next tier without ...

Re: Extra Long Dropshot Rod
I have the Xtasy 721s and 752s can compare them to my Conquest 902s. The Xtasys are a true fast action taper either one can handle 3/8. I actually prefer both over my CQ 902 as the handle on it is tad long for my liking but I can see why they designed it that way the rod would be very tip heavy with...
