Re: Floating DD Jerkbaits
Have a look at the Bassday Shaker 75 & 85 KO's. (The original is long out of production). It is used extensively in SE Asia mangroves for SW fish. Might be the most common SW casting deep diver in that region. I like the Revoltz Gangstar and Kanai versions. Uses tungsten casting system, strong enoug...

Re: What shad lure are throwing besides a shad rap?
Duel hardcore shad. I have the older versions with a more narrow bib. Just got some of the new ones this week. Don't think the 60mm will dive as deep. The 75mm has a much wider bib. Only time will tell if the changes are successful.

Re: Travel rod recommendations
I have the following travel rods Abu Garcia Hornet Stinger Plus 694 BFS- delicate tip but surprisingly strong. I have landed carp to 10pd among weeds on it no problem Is that the ML...? I'm looking at the 692ML BF and was wondering if the lower weight rating was accurate. I have gone down to 1/8 an...

If you are looking for something light and cheap, Kuying makes a nice 6'9M 4 piece. Under US$100.

Rotated hook hangers on crankbaits
Hi! Thanks for all the great info here but I have a question that I can't find the answer to. What is the deal with rotated hook hangers on crankbaits? Does it really make a difference, especially the rear one? Also, I need to replace trebles with heavier SW friendly ones. For the normal ones, I use...

Re: ZMAN plastics
I fish exclusively with ZMan as I bank & kayak fish mostly. One bait, one jighead and I can fish it until I lose it. When I am doing inshore fishing at our place near Charleston, I'll be there for 2 months at a time. I use one tackle box, a Plano 3600 with the many drain holes. All my sp's are rigge...

Re: Ned Rig CASTING only
I've really been enjoying my Diawa Alphas CT SV with a MajorCraft Crostage 69ML. I upgraded the spool bearings to full zirconium bearing (white) and got some cheap AliExpress alu knobs (ProCure makes the rubber knobs sticky and gross). Spooled with some 1.2PE Diawa Tournament 8 braid I found lying ...

Re: Can I purchase the top half of a 2pc Corto spinning rod?
Hi! Just saw your post. Maybe too late but I have ordered a top half of a Graphite Leader Tiro? 89FF (old model). It was a real pain and I eventually had to get it via the UK agents ( I was living in South Africa then), and it took several months. Allsorts, a member here, did all the legwork for me.

Just to add to your confusion I have handled The Wanderlust 655 in store but not fished with it. Build quality is very good, its extremely light and tip is softer than the Bone rods comparatively.

Re: Kuying TopCaster Rod review X2
Great review! I have recently bought the Kuying Top Caster Baitcasting model and, so far, used it for mid-west finesse on red drum, flounder and speckled trout in South Carolina. I can concur with the review, its a great rod, especially for its price.

Re: Major Craft spinning
Hi! First time posting so Hello Everyone! I have a MajorCraft Go Emotion 644L, so definitively below the standard you are looking for and its a 4 piece travel rod. (I also have a Volkey, Corzza, 2 Skyroads and had a KG Evo, so know the brand well) The rod handles the stated weight ranges very well, ...
