I haven’t bothered to ever disassemble any bit of the rotor apart from cleaning or changing the line roller, but it wouldn’t be any overnighted screws at the pivots?

The warnings on the newer gen DCs are mostly around not putting any force on the coil.

Also comes with a warning not to get any oil around the sensor.
I'm not sure the new DC units use the same setup though for measuring spool RPMs

Haha, sending any reel to Daiwa/Shimano AU service department is a gamble haha.
Half the time it comes back worse.

I would love a DC where the you could turn off the whine or make it very faint. Bit distracting or annoying esp in quiet areas.

Good question, wondered the same.
A lot of the Daiwa gear ratios are non-whole numbers, so I never bothered to line up the gears when servicing my own reels.

Shame to read this. But Shimano users are not the worst of them... Daiwa is. And because of this you don't see any of them around here offering support for their brand... Same with Lew's, Abu, Okuma, Quantum, etc. Only Shimano even though they still share the same opinion the others do about U.S. f...
