Re: Equipment Related Pet Peeves

People holding spinning reels upside down. Doesn't "grind my gears", but makes me shake my head. Manufacturers that put too short of handles on a certain length rod. I feel like St. Croix and some Loomis are guilty of this. Totally throws off the balance of a rod. This is a good one. One of my TFO ...

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods

Fished the FMJ today in some pretty nasty conditions winds were 20 to 30 mph . I was fishing a 1/2oz dirty jigs finesse football head on channel banks for smallmouth. Had nine bites on the jig, caught nine fish. Overall I'm really impressed with this stick, it looks fantastic but more important it f...

Re: Jackall squad minnow 80

I'd agree the squad minnow 80 looks fantastic for smallmouth .But I'm kinda hesitant to pick a few up,
I have a couple 95 squad minnows and they don't suspend at all without alot of tinkering.

Re: Reins Bubbling Shaker

Purple weenie and Mueller's madness in the 4" were easily our best dropshot baits last year.
We also used the 7" green pumpkin jig worm style along deep weedlines for largemouth
and did alot of damage.

Re: Ned Rig

We fish the ned rig alot . Last year we played around with a bunch of different jig heads . I would say that we liked the vmc moon eye jig heads in 1/16oz the best. We much prefer half a zinker z to the trd. Also don't overlook other baits such as the Biovex kolt fish tail, Reins bubbling shaker ,Hu...

Re: Megabass S Crank 1.2 vs 1.5?

We fish alot of deep clear water lakes in the northeast for smallmouth. Sexy French pearl and Biwako see
Through Chart have been really good colors. But in the spring when the water has some stain to it
the E2 craw in the 1.2 size has been the best color for us no question about it.
