I guess we all feel your pain. My first cast on brand new vanish cost me a ten dollar lure. I would NEVER recommend this line.

Baitcast reel for Ugly Stik?
What's up all? I hope everybody is getting ready for the best fishing year ever. 8-) I got a question for everybody. I pick up a SCL 1100 5'6" medium action Ugly Stik at a fleamarket for ten buck. I need a Baitcasting reel to match to it. What would be the best? Unfortunately it needs to be around $...

I really like the 2 speeds. Though a bit pricey for me. I may just say screw it and splurge for it.

Reel for a Penn Tuna Stick???
My wife got me a 63" Tuna Stick. The original owner had it shortened from a 6'+ stick. Why I don't know. The line ratio is 50lb to 130lb.
What I am looking for now is a reel to match to it.
Does anybody have any ideas of a matching reel?
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Hawaii Fishing Trip.
I didn't take any of the fish home. The cost would have been crazy. We did take some of the fish back to our hotels and they prepared it for us there.
The total cost for the trip was $200.00 and 3 fish. All we had to do was pay for the gas. The Capt. was a friend of one of the guys.
