Re: Digital cameras for fishing
Might I direct you to http://www.dcresource.com/ ? This is an awesome site for those that are looking to buy a digital camera. Unfortunately, the two cameras you're inquiring about have not been reviewed. I found this website to be very useful when I was shopping around for a camera. He's really tho...

Re: Shimano Neoprene Reel Covers
Another question... do them make them for lefty reels? I've been searchign all over the place for them and have come up empty handed. You can still use the righty reel cover, but the fitment isn't as good.

Re: Any comments on this hook Remover
If the fish is hooked in the gut, there is no hook remover out there that can help you. What I have done in the past is cut my line and actually thread the hook through. Basically I make the tip of the hook come out of the throat, then grab the tip of the hook with my pliers and thread the rest of t...

Re: Has anyone used the Calcutta 200GTB
I own one myself. I don't know why anyone would buy the regular 200 unless you wanted more line capacity. It's an excellent caster and the retreive is silky smooth. The added feature of the side access to the brakes is what sold me on this reel. This makes it really easy to make casting adjustments ...

Chronarch 50Mg more line capacity than Scorpion Mg?
I noticed that in the review of the Chronarch 50Mg, TackleTour quotes the line capacity as 10/125, 12/100, 14/90 while the Scorpion Mg is 8/110 12/90. Is this accurate? Does the Chronarch 50Mg really have more line capacity? I was under the impression that the 2 reels were identical minus the 4X4 br...

Scorpion Mg or Chronarch 50
Along with Bartek's post, I thought I'd put this one out. I'm looking to buy the Scorpion Mg. I purchased it off eBay but it came in the mail with a crack on the name plate. I called Shimano to see if they can order a replacement part for it and they quoted me $48 and up to 4 months for turn around ...

Re: Bent Loomis rods normal?
Are a lot of the rods off eBay defects or have blemishes on them? Is that how people on eBay can sell them for so cheap cause they buy the defects?

Re: Bent Loomis rods normal?
I also notice that older Loomis rods did a much better job with the glue too. New Loomis rods seem to have excess glue on top 4-5 guides. What about the excess glue? Does that affect anything?

Re: Bent Loomis rods normal?
No this isn't a custom rod. How can a curve be a good thing? It's a casting rod and slightly bends up slightly.

Re: Bent Loomis rods normal?
The bend is not noticeable unless you look down from the butt of the rod toward the tip with the guides either on the left or right.

Bent Loomis rods normal?
I bought an IMX MBR783 off of eBay and the first one they sent me was bent so I sent it back and they sent me a new one. The new one is still a bit bent and I wanted to know if this is normal or if people out there actually have a straight blank for their IMX rods. I spoke to someone at G. Loomis an...
