Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
I was getting a sticky inductor on my z2020 all April. Really annoying. Removed it, cleaned it, put a small drop of oil on the shaft, and now its never getting stuck. I tried the same, still intermittent sticking. Bummer, seemed like a promising spool. I will do some maintenance on my spool when I ...

Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
Why would you need stronger magnets? If the spool works in a reel with stronger braking force, it will work on the steez103, its just gonna be faster inside a steez than something like the tdz. Pretty sure it’s the same reason why the zpi nrc001 spools didn’t play well with the older daiwas. Too li...

Re: SV Boost in older Daiwa reels?
Not seeing why it wouldn't be great. I was just using my steez103 with a steez sv tw spool, and it was great. Is the Steez SV TW spool a boost spool? Its not. I had the boost spool from the 21 zillion, but traded the spool for an mg-002 spool from a bud before i even had the chance of trying it. Th...

Re: That DC whine
I don't find it annoying at all, but i found the whine to be way cooler back in the original antares/cacutta te days when the dc coils were exposed instead of being inside a plastic shell. That was some cool transformers sound they made. Calais DC makes a awesome whine. It's got to be the body mate...

Re: is Daiwa tatula still the reel to get?
I'd add $50 and grab a 21 zillion. But don't do it if you don't want your tatulas to feel very bleh afterwards.

Re: 12mm Handle Bolt
Only saw them through PLAT. Why not just install a 10mm bolt with a 10mm bolt retainer? A couple of my bigger reels with bigger handles look kind of funny with 10s. Meh, i have large handles as well, its fine. Nothing new that i am aware of uses 12mm, so finding them is gonna be a difficult for no ...

Re: If You Sold all Your Fishing Equipment
I'd buy a 21 zillion from Japan for $220 in the 7.1:1 ratio, a two piece Expride, a vision 110 and call it a day
