Re: Good at guessing bass weight?

I missed “Bass God” by .1. The first fish threw me off big time. I was off by 2 lbs on another fish but the rest were really close. Fun but all that and a buck fifty would get me a cup of non premium coffee!

Re: P70 popper re-release

Something about the Pop Rs that just work. I've seen my Pop Rs outfish my Megabass Pop X many times. That “something” is that “blooorp” sound when you pop it. I remember one night tournament many years ago when the largemouths and hybrid stripers were on that thing like conspiracy theories on the I...

Re: Loc-Tite Issue, melted knob

I haven’t been able to get a decent picture of the disfigured piece.
I’ll keep this one on the back burner until I can get a good picture.
Thanks.

Re: Round Reel Refinement - The JDM Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70

I just placed an order for this reel. The HS version. We shall see. Just unboxed my SV70. What. A. Beauty! I put it on my EG Combat Stick (USDM). I to the feeling there’s going to be a rod upgrade in the future. As an aside, I don’t think there’s going to be a problem with the 80mm handle. It just ...

Re: Loc-Tite Issue, melted knob

Ive never had that happen, but I usually use the stick that looks like a big chapstick, not the liquid. Just fyi, the low-strength purple is best to use for knob screws. The blue is medium strength and has been known to lockdown enough to break the riveted knob posts loose and cause them to just sp...

Re: Loc-Tite Issue, melted knob

I used a small dab of Loc-tite Blue on a screw, the knob end cap reacted in a way I’ve never seen before. It soften it, almost like a plastic worm from the old days. Working on photo Weird, what kind of endcap was it? The one that came with the reel. Daiwa Zillion TW 1516SH. I’ve been using Loc-tit...

Re: REBELLION731MHRB-G just landed

Thank you Johnny A! I like the feel of that model but haven't fished it yet. I appreciate you posting up the photos and your impression of the rod. Glad to see its working out for you... Many years more than I like to count, I used the Quantum Tour Edition 7’ fiberglass rod w/Abu-Garcia 4500C/4600C...

Re: REBELLION731MHRB-G just landed

Shout out to the guys at Tackle Trap for taking great care. The LMB seem to stay buttoned a little bit better with fiberglass than with graphite. This rod is for shallow and mid-cranks. Ever forward! I’m likin’ it. Getting used to after using the Evergreen USA Combat Stick. Excellent response, not sloppy. We shall see.

Re: ZPI Reel?

Here you go $100 on Aliexppress for the same reel. Spool even looks to be the same. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000499013931.html?spm=2114.best.8.83.292bjetcjetcNQ&scm=1007.17258.167931.0&pvid=d2cabf05-dc0a-49e6-b647-a0aa56e4e997 Actually says it in the description...
