Re: Passing of a longtime member...

I was thinking of him just yesterday. I hope his family and friends find solace in their memories of him.

Re: Daiwa Embraces IoT With New Bluetooth Equipped IM Z LIMITBREAKER Baitcaster

This was an EXCELLENT review of this new reel. I watched the lure news piece in Japanese but obviously don’t speak/read Japanese. The gist came through. I still think this model is aimed at the saltwater anglers with an eventual trickledown for bass anglers.

Just placed an order for the JDM version. You boys are starting to cost me money again!
Every quarter Johnny... every quarter ;)
I was able to take it out for a while today, it’s some piece of machinery.

Re: Cold Water Cranking Weapon - River2Sea's Tactical Bassin' DD Crankbait

Ordered this bait after reading your review and I just “unboxed” it. It’s got a different profile but similar to a Megabass Cyclone, it’s got a flattened or pressed down that you really can’t see in the pictures. I can’t wait to check it out. I think we still have a good month of colder water. Cool...

Re: Round Reel Refinement - The JDM Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70

Just an update:
I am really enjoying this reel. I can’t wait until the post spawn and I can really put it through it’s paces. It’s well designed and with great practical application.

Re: Getting to Know Daiwa's Luvias LT Spinning Reel

I have the Certate 2019 which is also the monocoque body but the body is aluminum alloy. Is that the primary differentiation between the two reels? I'm not familiar with the spec on the Certate, so can't say with any certainty and would probably have to open both up to inspect the gear material any...

Re: Round Reel Refinement - The JDM Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70

You’re still costing me money, Cal! You're welcome 8-) I had an hour to fish with it and it casts well, with a smooth retrieve. I only hooked into 1 small keeper bass. Again, it handled the small bass well. There was no problem with the 80mm handle, matter of fact, I could imagine a 90mm+ handle co...

Re: Round Reel Refinement - The JDM Daiwa Millionaire CT SV70

I just placed an order for this reel. The HS version. We shall see. Just unboxed my SV70. What. A. Beauty! I put it on my EG Combat Stick (USDM). I to the feeling there’s going to be a rod upgrade in the future. As an aside, I don’t think there’s going to be a problem with the 80mm handle. It just ...

How long has Berkley sat on that design? Doomsday has been around for several years now.
Those notches on the claws look a lot like the tail section of the Imakatsu Javalon which has got to be 10 years old, at least.
