Re: OG Zillion High Speed Levelwind

Will help with thin braid, but they tend to wear out quickly. Thanks. I recently bought a used Zillion and the worm gear has some slight grooving. Was thinking about replacing it with a high speed version because I currently have 65lb braid on it and was getting some uneven spooling, but it's possi...

Is the gigas 105 spool the one from the tdz 105h?
Yes sir. Goldrod bought it from me.

Edit: It has blue brake blocks instead of the reds on the 103.

Re: TD-Z swept handle and spool options

Hi, I am putting a tatula 90mm swept handle and tatula type r zaion swept drag star on a td-z and was wondering if the tatula handle collar will work or will I not get enough drag star rotation? First time changing from a straight handle to a swept Also I have a 1000sv spool, steez 103 r+ spool, an...

OG Zillion High Speed Levelwind

Wondering what's your experience with upgrading from the standard. What gear ratio and what size braid/line have you used that you thought warranted the change? Did it make a noticable improvement?

Re: OG Fuego

I had the 5.0:1 TDZ set in my OG Fuego but never got to try it out before I ended up selling the reel. Still have the new set as the buyer wanted the original set re installed.

Deps DR-100ZX and zillion type R. The type R really benefited from a 50th handle for this application. Unfortunately, I can be a slow learner and I had to go through 2 type R handles before I made this switch.
The handles broke on you? What happened?

Awesome reels! Is that a mago white noise? If you get rid of that coastal handle, let me know :big grin:

Re: OG zillion Revisited

I'm interested as well in alternative spools for the og. I see you recently got a type r spool. How do you compare that to the vanilla stock spool and a 100m?

Re: Turn down for what!?

What a great post. I show this to the machinistmates I serve with I have so much appreciation for the rate/ occupation. When you are in the middle of the ocean and need a part to fix a piece of equipment the MM’s are life savers. I have been trying to get them to work on my reels too \:D/ \:D/ You ...

Re: Turn down for what!?

Imho the Zillion 1016sv and the RCS 1012sv are universally the “best” 34mm spools in they they both have worked well in every reel I have tried them in. The 1012sv is a bit more free and is my preferred for thiner lines or pitching. The Zillion SV spool is a great GP spool but they seem to sell out...

Re: Turn down for what!?

That’s awesome, I wish I had been less of a turd when I was a kid and learned more machining from my granddad. I have played with a PG spool in a sv103 but only for a bit of yard casting. I don’t have a strong opinion of it, it didn’t feel different enough from the RCS 1012sv or Zillion SV spools t...

Turn down for what!?

So I just picked up my first SV 103 and first off, I must say all the hype is true. Such a connected feel and smoothness I've only felt before in my Zillion Type R. Needless to say, I'm excited to start playing around with combinations of different spools. Before I bought the reel, I had purchased a...

Very nice! I want to get into airbrushing as well. Seems like a lot of fun learning the process.
