Re: Custom Paints

I was going to reply but I thought maybe you were getting tired of me praising your amazing work, lol! No way man, definitely open to any comments, good or bad! Just trying to have some fun playing around with this stuff. Have you still been messing around with the airbrush? Unfortunately, I haven'...

More Round Reel Love

I found a good deal on a JDM CVX 103 with 6.8 gears installed, a Steez 103 R+ spool, and new 100mm power handle. Also included was the stock 5.8 gears. https://i.postimg.cc/8cfVGS9c/20201216-180441.jpg The previous owner had changed out the bushings to bearings and added carbontex washers. You could...

So does anyone know the weight of the new Alphas SV TW? I don't remember the weight of my old SV105 spool either...
I've got the SV105 spool at 13.4 grams with bearing.

Couple of Sol's I use quite a bit. Both have 7.2 gears, high speed worm shaft and TDZ handles. Looking to upgrade the handles before spring.

Just beautiful! Those spools really look great in there.

MountainMan,
Thanks for the reply. If I put this on and fill my letters, will the residue on the surface be able to be wiped off with out any discoloration?
Yessir. I use that exact paint stick to fill in engraving in bleach white acetone and the excess wipes away easily with no trace.

Re: 3D Printed 10mm Nut Driver Bit

So just a quick update on the progression of the nut driver above. I went from a single use tool to a multi-use tool. The concept drawing is below. The final product was 3d printed as well pic below. This tool went from a 10mm socket to a 10 and 11mm socket. Thanks goes out to triple_illusion for a...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Always think it’s pretty crazy how a big fish can eat a lure and barely feel the bite. Was working a Mirrodine XL slowly along bottom and felt that super light tick.... https://i.postimg.cc/zvY65CQR/BAE00699-FEE7-49-DA-99-EB-038-F0039869-E.jpg Man, that's got to be soo much fun! Nice fish as always!

Was there a version of that spool made specifically for the Monoblock reels? I think their spools were offset a bit. Never owned one.
Not sure about the monoblocks, but they definitely made a version for the millionaires. The spool shaft length is different.

Re: Alphas Appreciation Thread

From Alphas 103 to Alphas LSD..... :-$ \:D/ Conservative definitely wasn’t in the design brief for my first shot at customising an Alphasaurus lol Got every performance mod and upgrade you would expect (inside and out) and a light sprinkle of a few other bits & bods). Still got a couple more things...

Those knobs look real nice on that OG 👌
You think I should leave them or look for some of the black megabass hyper corks?
Leave em 👌
I told him before I thought the reel was perfect! Just beautiful!
