That is what I am talking about! 8-)
Yeah buddy!
Funny. I was thinking Vikings as one more team after my post. Vikings Hall of Famer Ed White is a family member.
Very cool!

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Just finished this project up. It's built from an OG Zillion 7.1. The only thing that I needed was the brake set plate and magnets from a TDZ. https://i.postimg.cc/nhgRZfND/20200313-122212.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/RhSGGSJj/20200313-122233.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/rmCQS0s1/20200313-122310.jpg

Re: Where do you put your Fuji EZ Keeper

I've put them both in front and behind the reel. I always ended up poking myself with the keeper between the split grips though.

Re: Star Drag Compatibility

I bought a couple a few years back to try my hand at modifications and paint. I obviously suck at it! Luckily I have 6 more that I keep as is. I wish I knew more about this stuff but that's what I'm here for. On another note... The paint on the 103ml is a special paint that keeps the reel from corr...

Re: Star Drag Compatibility

It's a very tight fit. When I loosen the drag as far as I can, there is still tension on the spool. When I installed the star drag, there isn't very much room to put the lock nut.... less than with the stock or a swept zillion star drag. If i do have to remove a washer, where would that be? I don't...

Re: Star Drag Compatibility

Yes, a threaded drag star from a left hand SS SV will fit a left hand TDZ.

Are you saying you can't loosen the drag enough before the star stops on the handle? If so, you need to remove a washer, yes.

Re: TD-z 103ml transplant

I’m beginning to think it’s not the paint job. I think it’s the palm side and the micro adjustment knob on the handle side. I’ll take it apart tonight and try to figure it out. Thanks Check both sides for spacers or possible debris. Maybe something was installed incorrectly when it was reassembled....

They have been repainted and the paint is too thick? Have you tried using sandpaper?

Re: Tatula Elite 701MHR CRANKIN'

i fish this thing exclusively with all my squarebills. i have 3 and am a huge fan. they are a bit misleading when first held in hand because of how stiff they seem. but on the water they're completely different. i typically fish 1.5's and baits of that size on it but have fished baits up to the luc...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Just finished some maintenance and figured I’d snap a pic or two of my Steez reels. 20 year anniversary of the Steez this year. I think I have them all. I guess I have to buy the Steez air too. From left to right: Steez CT TW: I’ve been using the stock spool with it, but also have the 30mm KTF spoo...
