Re: Millionaire Moddin'

Amazing work, makes me wish I didn't squander my childhood where I could have learned this stuff. Those who run TDZ spools in their CVZs, what spools do you like? I have a Ringa SSS modded to allow 34mm spools and I have tried a couple. On my reel atleast, I can't use spools with too long of an ind...

Re: Millionaire Moddin'

Great reel and great work. I wonder if that new millionaire ct spool would fit int the 103 model? It wont. I picked up an amo version from hoohooscoobydoo, thinking I might make some spacers, but it it wont work. Here it is next to a 34mm spool. https://i.postimg.cc/hPLkwVWt/20200710-120019.jpg A b...

Re: Millionaire CT and Alphas CT

I'm interested as well. I would imagine that they do because I know the CVZs and pixy/alphas can swap several parts. I'm waiting on that Millionaire to go down in price. ](*,)

Found this on my search for a micro/BFS type frog. I haven't picked any up yet but I'm very interested. I think they would slay:

Is this the gold, tapered inductor? Did you try the spool with just a spring swap, first?

Millionaire Moddin'

So, I picked up a pair of CVZ 103s a few weeks back and wanted to see what kind of tuning options were out there. I came upon this thread http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?t=52643 and got a few good ideas and started rolling with them. First off, I wanted to switch out the stock gears to a fas...

The wagon wheel spool bearing retainer clip , gear side.
I was so glad to see that gone when I first opened up the Coastal SV; but I guess easier access makes sense if you're going to be using it in saltwater...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Here’s one of my recent auction victories/ steal. I’ve never seen this stock SLP works limited Zillion 1516 called the “Next Dream” posted on this site or anyone with this spool. I won the reel just for the spool but pretty much got everything else for free. That’s how good of a deal it was. I’m co...

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

I spent the first 25 years of my fishing career using a 5' UL spinning outfit because that's what the ol' man used and brought me up on. Once I got my hands on a baitcaster, I completely lost interest in using spinning setups. He's still using those types of setups and will out catch me just about a...
