Re: Worth fixing Shimano Chronrach Ci4+?
I just tried to order a spool for a friend from Plat and they don’t have any unfortunately. You can find beat up/parts ci4’s on eBay for around a hundy. It’s a shame as the spool was only $38. Good luck.

Re: JIS screw driver set
Don’t be afraid to fire up the ol soldering iron and put some heat on those death screws. Had to do that on one stubborn screw the other day even with Wera precisions.

Re: Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 uses
I use mine for throwing buzzbaits. I wouldn’t throw too big of a bait on that stock spool as it’s fairly shallow.

Re: Daiwa Tatula 300 Question
Just a heads up- the Gomexus drag stars won’t fit a 300 without machining the nut or the star itself. Is the 300 nut larger than other reels? Yeah. I guess the easier route is to just install an older style nut and be done lol. The 300 nut is a hair taller as well but the smaller one works fine. Go...

Re: Daiwa Tatula 300 Question
Does anyone happen to know the proper size for the handle? My 300 just arrived and I can't figure out if its 7x4mm or 8x5mm? I see that some Tatula are 8x5mm but I don't know if that applies to all of them (and I don't have my calipers handy) Thanks Just took the handle off, it’s the standard 8x5 w...

You can also get them from Aliexpress for a bit cheaper at $140 before tax but you have to wait a month for it to arrive. Sweet! Does anyone happen to know the proper s...

Re: Help diagnosing SV 103 issues
Are these the stock spools? If so, they are notorious for being over braked. You could change out the spring/inductor or try another 34mm spool.

Re: Best spool for Millionaire (the 103, 34mm platform)
A while back, I played around with spools in my CVZ and found the ZPI NRC M spool to be the best combo of distance and control. What weight range does the M spool cast? I guess from 5g up? :D Now that I think about it, it was a PG spool. ](*,) I never tested anything light on it, probably around 1/...

Re: Steez A TW HLC mod
I picked up a "mild" Steez A HLC spool a few months back and popped it into an OG Zillion Limited I had just got and I have been loving it. I've been throwing crawlers like the RAID Dodge, mag draft 6" and 3/4 jackhammers with big trailers and have been getting great distance with next to no issues....

Re: RAID JAPAN - Baits
Picked up a Dodge on sale a few weeks back and finally got to try it out yesterday. I was throwing it on 40lb braid and was having some issue with it rolling over. Not a huge deal, maybe there was some twist in the line or maybe I should use a swivel. I got one bite but missed em somehow. I could s...
