New Chronarch?
So the metanium was released roughly 4 years later replacing the old one (2016 vs 2020). What's the odds there's a new chronarch at icast this year? (2017 vs 2021?) Seems Shimano is taking the Daiwa route with all additions in the $150-$250 range like the tatulas. Heard mixed reviews on the tatula e...

Re: New Poison Adrena
Hey, I can't decide between PA or PG is the PG worth the extra money, how much of an upgrade is it? I don't own a lot of the models from both line up, but I have used them side by side and from my experience it's kind of the same as the GLX vs NRX / Orochi vs Destroyer debate. If the PG (NRX/Destro...

Re: Built to Vanquish the Competition, but Equal to Stella?
Was there a lubing issue? Sounds kind of crazy to me that the vanguish has a heavier/slower start up than the vanford. Other than that, everything else in the review seems spot on.

Re: New Megabass Destroyers
We clearly fish differently. On my tachyon shaft ithrew a 3/8oz jackhammer with a cowboy on the back all morning today. I worked it similar to a jig but caught some swimming it too. The tachyon shaft bent well and didn't seem to unload at all but I move them to the boat quickly. I would think the s...

Re: new daiwa steez punch rod??
I'm not 100% sure either but it definitely looks like red accents. Keeping up with seth, he hardly uses heavy rods, usually MH especially when flipping milfoil and hydrilla so I wouldn't doubt it's the bottom contact. He uses the ags Tatula 70mhh and Kage 73mh in a lot of his videos so it would make...

thehookup and tt both don't seem to have it either. Maybe it is discontinued? Might have to source one quick.

Re: Daiwa Steez AGS scratch?
That's nice to know. Haven't seen it before but took it out today and doesn't seem like it affected the rod in anyway.

Re: Daiwa Steez AGS scratch?
Just curious if anyone has had any experience with a rod like this and if so is it anything to worry about?

Daiwa Steez AGS scratch?
Just purchased a Steez and usually I'm not one to complain but on a almost $600 rod that's not something you'd like to see. The scratch runs under the first stripper guide and spirals around the blank for about an inch and a half. Thing though is I can't feel and scratch it with my nail. It's almost...

The 71H seems interesting. Any one want to share where they got their rods from? Looking back seems casterhouse is the only place to get it...

Re: Point Blank blanks
Sounds like the 69ml is the one I need. Soft enough tip to detect bites and work the bait but enough back bone if I were to hook into something bigger. Now to find me a builder that doesn't have giant logo

Point Blank blanks
Just curious how's the performance on the 69ML and 69M blank. Contemplating on grabbing a rod to throw 1/8 oz ned rigs, finesse jigs, and plastics. Also considering the new wild side 610M. Just curious how the blank handles and sensitivity wise where does it land. Seems a lot of people like PB blank...

Fantastic write up! If I can find a decent deal I might pull the trigger on one of those Aces.

Fenwick Aces/Golden Wing
While I was searching for new product releases for icast I transitioned into jdm (like most of us) just to see if there's anything new. Other than EG Orion and Vigore 2020 doesn't seem like there's anything new coming that's interesting. But while I went through jdm rod brands I stumbled upon fenwic...

Re: Sealing the cork
I've always worried about cork sealing changing the feel of the cork, is that true? (There's a reason I get cork in the first place, after all, and that's the way it feels.) In my experience using U40 the first time you use the rod after applying the sealer, it does feel a little different. With ne...
