Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

You bet. I agree with you on the soft tip being a help for the take but it can also hinder working a certain top water too if its too soft. I know MB had top water in mind for both rods so I don't think you can go wrong. Destroyers are really nice. Very true, cant go wrong with any Destroyer. Thank...

Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

What topwater lures do you plan on throwing? And what weight range? Mainly Pop Max’s, dog x’s, xpod’s, whopper ploppers etc. I also dont have a designated jerk bait rod and I’ve read these rods do both but top water would be used for probably 90% of the time seeing that I don’t use jerk baits often...

Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

When you know you don’t have to think. Thanks what one of my mentors told me for all of a year. For example Is that item prescribe for your uniform? I think it is. When you know you don’t have to think”” Ta Da!! Now Square yourself away Hence Otomat is not soft ta Sorry man I don’t understand. I ge...

Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

I have not fished otomat. I think it has a softer tip. 110 special is a sweet stick for topwater. So is 842 from Loomis. I would assume the softer tip would be more beneficial for top water so that the fish can grab the bait without being yanked out as fast with a less soft tip. But then if it’s to...

Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

The Elseil models handle topwater and jerkbaits very well (along with other techniques too). Sweet spot is 3/8 to 1/2 lures, but I’ve used the 1/4 oz pop-X with no problems. The Diablo models (like a Diablo Fast move) are good, I use a whopper plopped regularly with one. I’m sure that a one ten sti...

110 special
Appreciate the advice.
Have you tried the otomat to compare it to the 110?

Re: Best Megabass Topwater rods?

Otomat is one Extreme Mission X7 another Yes I’ve heard the otomat is great but soft compared to the oneten special which works good too and handles the bait a little better. I’ll look into the EMX7 I do own a Daemos which I read is very similar to a EMX7 if I’m not mistaken. Could the Daemos be en...

Re: Where to buy MB parts for Steez

So basically I’m better off selling my steez and adding money and finding a IS71 instead. That would probably work out cheaper than somehow finding the parts and paying for them. I’m still trying to find out what the differences are in specs when megabass release a reel compared to the Daiwa version...

Where to buy MB parts for Steez

Hey guys, Ive been trying to find out where I can buy a black Megabass thumb bar for my Daiwa Steez Sv 103XS but cant find one anywhere. I also want to replace the front end where it says "steez" with a plain one. I basically want it to look like the IS71. Also, can someone fill me in on the differe...

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos

I just had one come in yesterday , it’s balanced pretty well and it’s slightly stronger than the diablo. I like it enough I bought two lol Haha nice. I ended up ordering the daemos so when it comes in the mail I’ll compare the two as far as balance and looks but performance is have to wait until th...

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos

Hey guys, I own a orochi xx diablo spec-r and was wondering if it’s worth the upgrade to the daemos.
I love the versatility in the spec-r and I’m looking for the same thing in the daemos.
I know these 2 rods are similar but what’s the differences in the 2?
