I’m sure you’ll have fun with that one.

Now if someone could just come up with a way to easily break down and reassemble a fully rigged rod.

Are those really $7 for qty. 5? Ouch! Pricier than even the Gekkabijin.

Re: 1/64oz Rod Recommendation

Followed Alphahawk's advice a while back and bought the Major Craft Finetail area rod. Can't say enough good things about it. That said, there's a chance that any SUL rod may not fit MCROUT14's expectations. Compared to an UL from St. Croix I think an area rod, even one rated fast, is going to feel ...

Re: BFS Telescopic

Houndfish, that's a nice case the BBB comes with. Definitely not something your going to get with a $21 rod. Decided the foam tip cover just doesn't cut it, so using a scrap wetsuit I sewed a custom cover out of the neoprene. Much better if I don't say so myself. :D https://i.postimg.cc/XvmB69tM/neo...

Re: BFS Telescopic

Nice to see a real review on some telescoping BFS rods, I’ve eyed a few over the last year but most are an investment. At that price it may be worth picking up to mess with. Currently skipping the BFS but I’m looking to play with some 0.5g spoons to see how they fare. This rod is available in both ...

BFS Telescopic

I love exploring small streams. Keeping a rod at the ready in the dense woods of northwestern NJ has always been an issue. A two piece doesn't break down small enough for safe transport. A 4 piece travel rod packs better but is such a hassle to rig and un-rig. Figured telescopic might be the answer ...

Re: Well I couldn’t stay away...

Great looking reel (and rod). Wish more reels were blacked out or just more understated. Not a fan of colors on reels. Next thing you know you're choosing line and rod to match. Black goes with everything!

May have to wait till next year for my review. Weather and life have gotten in the way. Looks like I will be done soft water fishing till next year.
There's always lawn practice. Pretty much mandatory for learning BFS anyway. :D

Re: Ace Hawk CU Double

I'd agree that it is fast but the tip is very thin and responds well to light lures. Pretty sure you'll like the way it casts. Looking forward to your report.

Re: AliExpress

Rods I've received from Kuying have always been shipped well packed and arrived w/o any damage. Tsurinoya has not been as diligent in their packing and I received a damaged rod from them. Fortunately, they did make good with a replacement. I've probably purchased around 10 rods from Aliexpress and ...

https://www.kendersoutdoors.com/collections/k-rip These are legit with little rattles in them. I haven't used them, but waiting till I get some solid ice to got ice fishing. Will find out so how well the tiny ones vibe. Available in 1/64, 1/32 and 1/16. Hard to imagine this in the 1/64 oz size. Tal...

Re: BFS Lure Testing

Nice catches. How did you work the minnows? Steady retrieve, jerks, twitches? Also what was the typical water depth? I mostly use spoons and jigs so when I tie on a crank I'm never sure what to do.

Re: $100.00 BFS Challenge

I put the Spirit Fox spool in my XF50 and it fits (as expected). No verdict yet on performance but I don't see how it wouldn't better considering the weight savings.
