Re: “Finesse” flipping jigs

I think between riot minima and zman power finesse I found what I was looking for l. I have yet to try beast coast jig, but I’m sure I will eventually.

Re: “Finesse” flipping jigs

Bitsy flip was a huge disappointment. Every other I ordered came with weed guard not long enough and was promptly consumed by submerged wood.

Those beast coast lil magnums look very promising.
I also ordered some z man power finesse, but have not had time to fish em yet.

“Finesse” flipping jigs

I have been on a hunt for an ultimate “finesse” flipping jig.
I mean small profile jig with small stout hook and stout weed guard that feels at home in the middle of submerged wood.

Also I was under the impression that monocoque handle is supposed to be part of the blank?

Re: JDM Expride B 6'10 Casting

I don’t get the grip connection. Disconnected only makes the rod marginally shorter.
I think the real reason is manufacturing. Probably saves some money to manufacture separately.

I like 1 piece rods.

Re: Ultimate Skipping Reel

Even I can skip with the new zillion and new alphas so they must be pretty good at it.

7.2 is the fastest gear set you can get for that reel. Just look up the the gear set for the Alphas CT SV SHL and order the main gear and pinion. They swap right in.
Thanks, I thought that’s all I need but wasn’t sure since I have never done it before.

Alphas ct sv gear switch

I would like to switch gears in one of my alphas ct sv. It is left handed. I want to switch from 6:1 to 7:1 ratio. If I could get 8:1 it would be even better. What are all the parts I need to do this? Is it just main gear and pinion? I will be ordering from plat so if you could help me by listing th...

Re: Googan Squad makes the best rods

I used to enjoy ndyakangler a lot. He does exact same kind of fishing I do and is pretty pleasant to watch in general. His older videos were great, just a first person view of a river rat in his natural habitat. His new videos feel a bit too much like content pushing but still better than 99%.

No, but I have tried gyrostar swim bait and am not a fan. Almost no action when I fished it on a jig head.

Re: Project T 22 #6: another Tatula

I think US market for Daiwa reels is kind of weird with prices and products. Im not sure why would I get one of these over alphas.

Re: Tatula Elite rods

If you are used to fast action medium power rods for jerkbaits or topwater this rod will feel underpowered at first. However, once I got used to it, I really like it for everything treble within its recommended weight range. I mainly throw slender pointers 97mr, 110s, 110 juniors, evergreen 87’s. Th...

I’m confused by their new lineups and all the new tapers and also by their insistence to use skeleton reel seat.

I miss the avids I had.

Maui Jim's, one with HT Green and one with a bronze lens, both glass.

Love them...
Me too but I only have bronze lenses. Green are next.
I had costas before and Jim lenses are much better for clarity/sight fishing.
