I think marking the reel down for "lack of torque" is a bit unfair. It's a 9.5:1 reel in small package - of course it's going to lack torque.

To me BFS is just another example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".
UL spinning is a unfussy and pure - throwing casting gear into the mix introduces unnecessary complications. Each to his own but give me the click-click-click of a stripping spinning reel's drag any day.

Two small gripes: the overly shallow depth-of-field coupled with the choice of color makes it hard to see all the details in the photos. Maybe my aging eyes

So I managed to donate my Curado 70 side plate to the muddy depths of my local lake today
I'm not situated in the US and it seems as though Scorpion parts might be cheaper to import. Will the Scorpion 70XG side plate fit on (what's left of) my Curado 70?
