Re: 7'6" Spinning Rods

I own the 7'6 tatula ags and legend elite 7'6 mlxf. I'd go with the legend elite personally. The tatula ags is a very very nice rod, but for a ned rod I'd take the st croix. The st croix has better sensitivity IMO.

I used to only use fx2 and 832, but I've completely switched over to p line tcb 8 and absolutely love it from 10lb to 50lb

Re: Ned Rod

I do use weedless, the head is what gets caught, not the hook.

Ned Rod

Looking for input on spinning rod suggestions for 1/8th oz neds. This year I threw them on a custom build scv 7' mlf, but it had too much tip for me. I throw neds in 6-10ft around grass a lot, and found that tip too soft for popping the bait free quickly in the weeds. I love everything else about th...

Re: Dobyns Xtasy power question

Phippy, what baits/sizes and techniques do you use your 752s for? Thinking about getting one for 1/4 and occasionally 3/8 drop shot. Possibly ned rigs and light tubes. Thanks!

Re: Dobyns 742c

Thank you both for the input so far! I'm in Wisconsin so i can't get my hands on this rod unless I order one. Could either of you compare it to a 852 g loomis casting rod, in terms of action and power? Or any other rod that is similar? The comment about long distnace hook setting power has me just a...

Dobyns 742c

I'm looking at a dobyns hp 742c for throwing little dippers on 3/16-3/8oz jig heads, most of the time it'll be 3/16 and 1/4, 3/8 will be the rare exception. For those of you that have fished this rod, do you think casting these lighter weights would be a problem? Any input would be greatly appreciat...

A 703 is my favorite 1/4oz swim jig rod i've ever used.
