Re: Perch, perch, perch!
What a beautiful perch! There are perch in the waters all around me and as many as I often catch, I have yet to catch one that size. It's on my list of fishing goals for sure! SUL makes it that much better! I bet that bass sure was fun

Re: Inline Spinners
Those spinners look great! I love the organization too. I fish with spinners a ton and have made some of my own but have just twisted with pliers. I've really been thinking about investing in my own wire former like a Hagen's or a Twistech. Too many hobbies and not enough time!

Re: Hair jig connection
It would be easiest to just tie your own. Could do it for pennies. It really isn't hard at all.

Re: How Do You Keep Your Fishing Closet Organized?
If you ask me, my fishing gear is organized...if you ask my wife, she will have a different opinion on the matter! I have the rods I use the more frequently in the corner of our bedroom away from our 2 year old daughter. I have my most used tackle in the top shelf of a closet in our hallway. A...

Re: Best braid to fluoro connection knot?
I always use the Alberto knot. Used the FG a couple times but it's a pain for me to tie easily. I can tie the Alberto in a fraction of the time and have had better luck with it. I have found that with light braid to fluoro/mono I have better luck tying a good knot when I wrap 8-10 up and 8-10 down, ...

Re: Who is using BFS casting gear for trout/panfish
I just recently got into fishing BFS. I bought a 17 Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS HG and a 5'3" Tenryu Rays UL rod. I have the reel spooled with 3lb Sunline Troutist Darkness. Due to the weather here in Western Montana, I have only had it out once and caught one small Brown Trout on it but it was a...

Re: Snaps for UL fishing
I have been making my own with VMC Duolock snaps and Spro Power swivels. I'm tired of buying the Eagle Claw or whatever knock off swivel/snaps and having them pull apart. By choosing my own barrel swivels, the quality improves a lot. Just have to undo both sides of the Duolock snap, slide the barrel...

That is awesome. At this point with a baby due in a couple months, I'll just have to drool on the keyboard!

It's hard to be some good yellow perch fishing. Of course, if they have some size to them, that makes it even better!

Re: Good Small to Micro Cranks
Lucky Craft Bevy Minnow Snacky 33 and Lucky Craft Pointer 48 are a couple of my favorites. Easier to find Rapala CD01, 03, and 05 though. Rebel makes a sweet little jerkbait called the TD49.
