Daiwa Spool

I need a spool for my Daiwa T3 1016. I know the original spool goes for quite a bit, which I'm assuming is why I got the reel so cheap w/out a spool. Are there any other Daiwa spools that fit the T3 besides the RCS 1016? I don't necessarily want to drop $100 on a spool. Hoping there are more afforda...

Re: Short BFS rod

This isn't exactly what I was looking for but found this 4'1", 1.25 m, telescopic rod. I already own the 6'2" version in both spin and baitcast. At $23 bucks I thought why not? https://i.postimg.cc/xjykkX1B/IMG-0879.png You got it? Let us know how it is once you've had a chance to fish with it. It ...

Re: WisconsinHeat looking for Rec's on a BFS Reel

China reel was a seaknight potm. I added extra magnets and it can handle 1/8 oz and up lures well but really really struggles with anything under it and I don't think it will last very long, so I was hoping to pick up a reel that will last a very long time. Yeah, The Reel Test on YouTube didn't par...

Re: WisconsinHeat looking for Rec's on a BFS Reel

What 1/16 oz baits do you want to throw? Inline spinners for trout, rooster tails. The package says 1/16 oz but I guess I do that know that true weight . I would be worried about line capacity for 1/8 jig heads and a small plastic with any DIY spools except the Tatula Long Cast but if you don't mak...

Re: WisconsinHeat looking for Rec's on a BFS Reel

What Ali reel did you buy that you didn't like? I have the Tsurinoya XF-50 and a Fishband GH100. Both a quite usable. FWIW, I also have an Aldebaran BFS, so I have something top notch to compare them to. China reel was a seaknight potm. I added extra magnets and it can handle 1/8 oz and up lures we...

Re: WisconsinHeat looking for Rec's on a BFS Reel

The Roros are fixed inductor which is great for tiny UL baits like trout magnets but I would go for a Ray's Studio Spool and the SV spool like Air Brake and tapered inductors. Probably something like one of these spools. Unlike the reels the Aliexpress spools are great. I still think this one might...

Re: WisconsinHeat looking for Rec's on a BFS Reel

Thanks for all of the replies, as far as lures I plan to throw, I will be using a lot of lures in the 2-4 gram range, I don't plan on attempting to cast tiny "trout magnet" style jigs/lures with it. Mostly very small hardbaits, 1/16th and some 1/8 oz inline spinners, etc. How much line does the roro...
