Re: 1-3g hard baits
. One of my very favorite Ultra LIght hard baits is the Rapala Countdown CD-1 minnow. This bait is 1/16 oz, casts like a bullet, has sharp hooks and has that irresistible Rapala balsa action. Very versatile. Nickname is KILLER. https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/kMjMIYDLYzjLTT/16177606.0/8...

Re: recommend a budget bfs ajing rod
Here's an idea of what the Kuying SuperLite can handle w/o problem. Caught this smallmouth this weekend from a dock on a trout magnet. The bass made multiple runs under the shallow water dock I was standing on and was able to pull him back out, despite being on 4# JDM flouro. https://i.postimg.cc/x...

Re: Talk me off the ledge please
I am a complete tackle snob I think you know your answer. Get another Aldebaran BFS. That is sound advice if I was going specifically the BFS route. I purposely don't want to spend the money on another Aldebarran. I do have an older MG7 Aldebarran I could spruce up if the XF50 turns out to be a lem...

Re: Talk me off the ledge please
I am a complete tackle snob I think you know your answer. Get another Aldebaran BFS. I went through the same thing, and now I have two ABFS. Since you have one, you know "the feeling." You'll hold the $50 reel in your hand and all you wish is for the silky smooth feeling of the well refined one. Ev...

Re: (SUL) Super Ultra Light?
I love mine. use it to fish bass in local ponds. I catch fish when no one else is because I'm able throw micro lures. the lowest i'm able to throw is the 1/200 tm jighead with tm body.

BFS in the bay
had 30 mins between work and was able to manage a couple on the BFS setup. conditions weren't the best, but was able to hook a spottie and a croaker. sound was off, but they were pulling drag on the UL set up.

Re: Micro bass jig BFS rod
This. I hope. I gave up the Volkey 68L in favor of the MS-X 65L. It's lighter, more crisp, more sensitive, and better balanced. Should get a LOT of use in the coming year. https://i.postimg.cc/Fzfx5XjQ/20190208-223721-HDR.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/brjK5MHv/20190205-215016.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nr...

Re: lines for bfs setups
comparing nanobraid and gliss with the 1/200g trout magnet jig head.
I found gliss to be easier to cast and I gained some distance.
