Looking for Daiwa Exceler handle nut retainer?
The plastic retainer that covers the handle nut is broke and gone. I would really like a better subsitute for the plastic cap that always breaks just like the old TDX reels. If there is not a better sub then I would like to know where I can buy a retainer cover.

Need help with guide tip replacement to tanglefree
I want to replace the guide tips on a couple 7'6" flipping sticks and a 7' med.heavy baitcast rod that I use with braid. Any idea what size and brand I can order and from what company can I order Tanglefree Guide Tips?

Re: Zillion Flipping rod users?
I have two of these rods and really like them. They feel very comfortable at the handle to pitch and punch all day. Very stout stick ,more xtra heavy than heavy and extra fast action. The only thing with them is that I am going more towards heavy power/Moderate actions in the punching/pitching rods ...

Re: Rod tip replacement for BSR852 Loomis GLX
Firstly, I did'nt know that Gloomis had a customer service dept. Secondly. that was my plan to see if someone knew the Guide number and manufaturer of a replacement and then do the swap myself. I've done a couple replacements before but after I've done it the guide usually looks like it's one size o...

Rod tip replacement for BSR852 Loomis GLX
I chipped the rod tip guide on this rod. Anyone know the replacement for this guide or a good substitute?

Re: Enthusiasts Beware
Thanks for the reply.
Thats the way I fish with it but changing back and forth from newer reels can be a little frustrating leading me to use other reels alot of the time. I do like the reel other than the slop.
Thanks, Andy

Re: Enthusiasts Beware
Is there an upgrade for this reel to stop the back-play in the reel? When you set the hook the reel backs up to the stop and bangs.

Power tackle palm support reel handle?
Anyone have this type of reel handle. I'm thinking of buying one in a punch rod (Power Tackle). Never had one in my hand and won't be able to get my hands on one before buying one because no one retails them locally. I am curious if anyone likes or dislikes this type of reel handle? Also any recomme...

Re: Punching/Flipping Rod
IMHO there is a big divide between punching with 1 ounce or less and punching with 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 ounce and up. I have an 8 foot Steez and would not use it for greater than 1 ounce. Its a great rod for 3/4 and down. The 7'6" Zillion is my favorite rod period but is very fast (too fast). I don't punc...

The perforated end piece must go under your arm pit when you are casting heavy swimbaits?
Wonder how that feels?

Re: Frog rod ideas...
I'm like you as well. There is a frog setup or two on the deck of my boat from June to Oct. And alot of days it's the only rod used for the most part all day by myself and partner. I have been around the block with this as well and I have gone back to an L&T Flipstick 7'6". The 7'4" L&T is great but...
