Re: Fishing Favors the Bold. Trika’s 7 Foot+ Casting Rods
Thanks for this review. I purchased the 7'5" MH when if first came out and think it's a remarkable rod. My impressions are mostly in line with those expressed in this review. I think that the sensitivity is incredible, especially fishing deep jigs and Texas rigged ribbon tailed worms. It has re...

Re: The Impressive Middle Child : Abu Garcia's Zenon MG-X Casting Reel
In this review of the Zenon MG-X it is paired with the Trika rod. I would really look forward to your full review of the Trika rod. Curious if a review if in the works and when it may be published. I personally got the 7'6" and really enjoy that it's something a little different and is very sen...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
I think that the Epitome is very solid feeling especially that it is incredibly light weight. The action is really nice MBR and can do moving baits and bottom contact. Nothing bad to say at all. I am not sure what I was expecting or hoping this rod to do. My recent purchase and use of the Trika rod ...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
The damage to to tip was disappointing. I emailed a picture of the damage to edge customer support, but so far no response. I guess I have to call and complain. I have fished the rod on two occasions. I have fished jerkbaits, blade baits, lipless and a jig. It seems to be a "do it all" typ...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
The Epitome arrived in one piece, kinda. The tube caps are different that any I have seen before. Pressed into the cardboard tube and really hard to get out. I had to use pliers to lever it out. The rod weighs 3.05oz on my scale. Incredibly light in weight but also very seems powerful in action. I n...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
I placed the order the first time I saw it was available. Hopefully its worth the wait. I thought we would hear more from the test rod review being done by the reviewers here at TT.
Mine should be here on Monday.

I wonder when these new Xray (gen II?) blank will come to NFC for sale. Love to build a big jig rod that is really light weight.

Re: A Diminutive Paddletail with Big Bait Detailing : Molix's RT Shad
Thanks for the review Cal. Do have a jighead recommendation for this bait? I am not a fan of the double head thing with jigheads. I use the Owner ballhead jigs. They work great for most paddletails. Thanks. I'll try that. The other option, for weedless presentation, would be a weighted swimbait hoo...
