Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
Although usability isn't as good as the Steez, the form factor and performance of the Metaniums makes it difficult for me to branch out. Specifically, the palmability of the Metaniums is just such a unique feel. However, I really want a Steez SV for skipping docks. I was hoping that Steez would star...

Re: 24 Steez Sv Tw unboxing
I saw this https://www.jpfishingtacklenews.com/dai ... ting-reel/ and was wondering if this was legit. Has prospective release dates.

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
Thanks, hoohoorjoo. While it likely wouldn't fit into my lineup sensitivity-wise for jigs, if I have to give up the search for a dual-purpose rod, that 610H looks like a great frog-only option.

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
The 170H Glorius handle is 5/8" longer than my 6'11" Adrena handle. I'm hoping this relationship means the 170H will not be more than 3/8" longer from trigger to tip than my Adrena which is already at the outskirts of working for me on tip-down techniques. I would much prefer a 6'10" so my search is...

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
I searched for a 21 Glorius 170H Torzite, but none were available, and reached out to JDM Tackle Haven asking. They replied that it had been discontinued and was no longer available from suppliers. Hopefully, Dennis's point of the approaching shows will bring news of a refresh! If anyone has a trigg...

Outstanding, thanks and I'll check this out tonight!HellaBread wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 12:26 am170H poison glorious is 181.7cm or 5’11.5” in front of the grip section but that’s not counting the length that connects the 2 pieces for the grip joint so imma ballpark around 5’10”-5’9” in front of the grip

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
Thanks guys! For the jig pitching aspect of this rod, I want excellent sensitivity, as good or close to the best. If the sought rod was just a pitchin jigs, I'd be more open to a moderate to fast-moderate taper for sure. The taper problem is that the whole search is for a stick that's also excellent...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks - that makes perfect sense and the spiral wrapping sounds prudent, especially if it doesn't dampen performance. Unless someone comes through with a JDM blank fitting the bill, I'll probably turn back to production rods.

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
Thanks to all! KP, thanks .. that Fast-to-Slow taper on Harrier & regular fast on the Glorius concerns me as I'm looking for a US fast to x-fast. Dragon1, the Grand Cobra's lure listing including bladed jigs and crankbaits concerns me that it won't be at least US fast in taper. I agree this Evergree...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks, HellaBread! With potential JDM blanks, I'd likely find the 6'10" - 6'11" length I want, but finding it with a "US" fast to extra fast would be the challenge.

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks, Hogsticker! To me, the UMBX flirts with GLX sensitivity and I'd be happy but not enthusiastic. What about Olympic? I looked but didn't see where they sold blanks, although I thought I heard they did.

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks guys. Goldrod, I looked at Legit, but wanted a faster action. MikeK, thanks for bringing the MHX NEPS82HF to my attention - that's a great length! Are the MHK Elite Pro blanks on par with NRX sensitivity? I have an UMBX and have had others -very good blanks to build on, no doubt. Given that t...

Re: WHY are there no short enthusiast pitching sticks?!?!
Thanks, Brett...although I'd like to avoid swimbait level top-end weights, at least this stick is sub-7'. Thanks for letting me know about this option!
