Re: Got my new eternity blanks

Any new impressions on the eternity blanks? The winter is coming and I was considering making a new rod.
Don't mean to be bothersome or anoying but I'm really curious how these blanks compare to the top brands. they are significantly cheaper around here. :D

Re: Custom Drop-Shot Rod

I will have that in consideration, maybe black friday or Christmas sales will help. For the k2, rodhouse.fr has some models, was thinking of asking them if it's possible to get a specific model. It should take some time but maybe they can do it. One question, while checking some reviews about the K2...

Re: Custom Drop-Shot Rod

Thanks for all the info you guys shared. After reading all that guess if I go with a k2 blank it should be the 714. That should be able to handle 1/2oz weight plus the plastic. The "problem" with point blank is I don't know of a retailer in Europe. Shipping overseas is kind of a hassle. Between tran...

Re: Custom Drop-Shot Rod

Sure I will wait. It's a thing to be built in Christmas, unless the corona makes me stay at home... Have u guys tried the rainshadow immortal 610mlhf? Is it a good blank? Don't really now about phenix. What's their comparable blank? k2? I have thought of the sc5 too, but I'm leaning towards a XF bla...

I choose the later one...   So I was thinking of buying a nrx dsr, then I thought... Why not make one... It's my first rod building so all your input is a...

New fish finder

Hi guys. So I'm trying to decide on a new fish finder. I have a deeper portable one and wanted to upgrade. I mainly fish from a float tube but wanted one that would be ok for a small boat should I lose my mind and decide to buy one. I am not a brand fan so was asking for any input you can share. I'm...

Re: Is there a better deep jerkbait than the staysee 90

I've a MB vision 110 R +3. Looks very good, but haven't tried it yet. Don't know if they are in US already. After I fish with it I will give some feedback.

Re: Righty Spinning AND Lefty Casting?

In my opinion just use whatever you're comfortable with. I find a hassle to switch, so I just use LH reel. I'm RH dominant so I use that side for sensitivity and control on the rod, and use the left hand to reel. I tried the otherside around and just couldn't get used to it. Nowadays almost all reel...

Re: Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod

The Orochi is kind of the same problem as the Hein. EU market has the levante and the destroyer french edition, and are kind of expensive. Still will talk to my tackle guy to check the price on it. :D

Re: Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod

Thanks for all the input. The MB hein is kind of hard to find here. ](*,) Stupid EU market, on the plus side the conquest is at the same price as a NRX. A little more expensive than the st. Croix legend x, but when we are talking 450€ to 500€ the difference is not too much. Would a 842c be worth it?...

Re: Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod

You won't find a nicer jerkbait rod for 110size than the Expride 6'10M That was one of my first ideas but I can't get one where I live. In Europe Shimano is represented by a company that has the monopoly on imports to stores and the only way I can get one is shipping by myself from the US. With tha...

Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod

Hi guys. Firstly thanks for all the knowledge you guys share and for all the different opinions. So winter is coming and I'm on the prowl for a new rod, mainly for jerkbait fishing but also for an all around Medium rod. I mainly use vision 110's or similar baits, but would like a rod that could also...

Why? Did I do something wrong or that didn't comply with the rules? Sorry I'm new in the forum.

Re: New mid range budget casting rod

It's the European version. Don't know if there is something different from the US version, but I've heard good things about the rod. Those and the expride seem to be all the hype now in the mid range. The Shimano poison adrena should reach the European market at about new year. That should retail fo...

New mid range budget casting rod

Hi guys. I recently bought a new zodias spinning 7mxf and that kind of screwed my old casting rod. It's a n8 blackout mh-xf. I'm looking for an all around rod with some more sensitivity. The options I'm looking into are: Shimano expride 6'10 mxf or the 7 mf (around 250€). Daiwa steez ags 701 mf (240...
