ZPI bearings
I have two reels one of them has ZPI in the spool. I just forgot which
Any marking on them for recognition ?
I don't remember if they were open on both sides or covered on one.
Anybody have any information?
Would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Sunline Defier Armilo vs Sufix Advance?
I'm a fan of Sufix myself, but I didnt like the Advance. I will stick with Siege. The 8# Seige tested out at 12.2# breaking strength in independent lab tests, and I know from personal experience that you almost can't break off with 17# when you snag a stump on bottom. I partially straightened the h...

Re: Sunline Defier Armilo vs Sufix Advance?
Anyone compare both lines yet? I don't know about Suffix Advance. But I went through a spool of Defier Amilo a few years ago , a waist of 19.00 dollars I tried the 17lb. test , worse line I ever experienced. Stiff , worst as far as casting distance, and a lot of breakage. Some people like it , I ce...

Re: Carbontex drag washers
I forgot to mention that, I don't fish crank baits at all, 90 % jigs and soft plastics. Occasionally I will use a swim jig or a Double Eagle spinner bait. Which set of washers did you get and for what reel? Most Daiwas have 3 carbon washers inside the main gear. The og Zillion also has a carbon wash...

Re: Carbontex drag washers
Is it better to run Carbontex drag washers dry ? Generally speaking, I run mine dry with bottom-contact lures like jigs and worms, and thinly-lubed with Cal's tan drag grease for reaction baits like cranks. I just got a set of washers from Smooth Drag Do you run both dry , or just the larger one , ...

Re: Best action for a jig rod
That is what I am using now 7'HF it's a St. Croix Slop & Frog bought it used over the summer it has a nice tip, but I think a MH for me would be better . I want to stick with with a 7' length, max 7' 2". I was looking a a Legend Elite , but no such animal in that length with a moderate fast action,...

Shimano Poison Adrena Casting Rod 7'3" Med
I was looking at this rod on TWH the action say regular fast.
I' looking for a rod with somewhat of a moderate fast , but not a completely moderate
I won't be using it for crankbaits , more for casting jigs from shore is this it.

Re: Best action for a jig rod
When a jig has heavy weight out in front of the hook point, it makes the jig easier for the fish to throw. I use a more moderate action when making long casts over a place like a long point or a ledge with a casting jig. The fish has a long time to get off in these situations, and a slower action wi...

Best action for a jig rod
I use to think fast tip was the way to go
But seen a few videos that suggests a moderate fast is a better way
Anybody have any experience with this , looking to get a designated jig rod
Fishing from shore by the way.
