Re: New Poison Adrena
Not much mention on guides in this thread so far.
Was just curious about their size and if anyone is using braid to leader on the casting rods.

Re: Dobyns Fury Casting Rod 7' Med Hvy Cranking
I’ve been fishing one almost a year now. The rod balances great, fatigue is not a factor. After fishing it a while using 12lb mono throwing mostly squarebills and ploppers I had a run of bad luck losing fish, I chalked it up to the rod being too weak combined with stretchy mono to get a good hookset...

Re: Compact Jigs
Haven’t fished the Feider but dirty jigs’ scott canterbury compact flipping jig is real nice, great keeper, gammy hook. I fish heavily pressured urban waters around chicagoland so finesse/compact iigs are a must imo, I fish em on a 6’8” heavy nrx with 15lb pline tactical fluoro pretty much year round.

Re: Last chance at a 72H Hyuga
The 72H is a wonderful rod and If I had the money I’d buy a spare in a heartbeat. It does so much stuff well, I can go from throwing frog, to a s-waiver 186, a 5 inch paddle tail, and all of them feel like the rod was made for it. My sentiments exactly. I'm used to the suprising versatility of Mega...

Re: Interesting Take on Drop Shot Knot
I’ve tried it with 6 and 8 lb test and find it seats into the hook eye gap, I didn’t fish it and wouldn’t trust it with smaller lines. I will be trying it with some heavier line for bubba-shotting.
