Re: Zodias 7'0 ML Glass Casting Rod
That’s sounds like a great stick to try. I have a kistler in one of their fibreglass tipped rods(reel and feel). It has a down to 3/16th rating as well and it is my go to small crank, squarebill, lipless rod.

Re: Short Frog Rod (for the kayak)
I have a nfc X-ray sj685 on the way to build up as my short kayak frog rod. The sj blanks have a nice quick taper and a great tip for casting accurately and walking. I may cut it down a couple inches more as I’m not the tallest but I’ll see how it feels when it arrives. I definitely have liked most ...

I use an nrx 853 for flukes. Can cast them a mile and works great to set the 4/0 ewg hook I use with them.

I run the 820s glx drop shot rod. It’s got a great soft tip but still can put the boots too them when you need to (or as much boots as you can running 4# mono). I did just build up a nfc ds721 X-ray so I’ll have to do a comparison of the two to see how or if they differ.
Re: Nrx 802c
I like using it for finesse jigs mostly. Great rod to chuck a 1/8oz jig on.

Re: American Tackle Components
I have pretty much switched over to the razor seat. I find it very light , comfortable and looks good on the rod. I’ve used both the nfc and At grips both are great but a slight edge in grippiness goes to the nfc. As said it’s a slightly softer surface. But with either of them, I’ve had no problem w...
