Re: Next JDM trout rod to acquire?
Thanks for the replies guys. I have finally had the opportunity to test my Super Bellezza , and I am extremely pleased with it. It casts like an absolute dream. The recovery rate of the blank is very quick and crisp, allowing me very accurate casts. It also outshines my Major Craft Finetail FAX 632-...

Next JDM trout rod to acquire?
Hello fellow anglers! I am considering adding a new rod to my JDM collection. Currently I have a Major Craft Finetail FAX 6'3 UL and a Graphiteleader Super Bellezza 6'4 UL. My initial plan was to get the Abu Garcia Diplomat Extreme, but I have seen seen Alpahawk using the Iprimi XXUL. I originally d...

Re: Looking for tips regarding a landing net for UL fishing
Thanks a lot for the input guys. I will not cheap out on a net, so a Fishpond net it is. It's seems like a good match for the high end jdm gear. I feel like my options are between the Nomad Emerger and Nomad mid length. I fear that the mid length will be slightly too long allround practicality. The ...

Looking for tips regarding a landing net for UL fishing
Hello, I am trying to get my gear ready for trout seasons, and i am currently looking for a new net. I would like it to be C&R friendly, so possible a net aimed at fly fishermen. I'm mostly doing bankfishing, but also some boatfishing. My rods UL rods are ranging from 6'2 to 6'4 feet. I have been ey...

Re: Looking for recommandations for a UL trout rod
Olympic Graphiteleader Super Bellezza 642UL is on it's way from Japan. Unfortunately winter hit pretty hard here in Norway, so I might not be able to test it for a couple of months.

Does anyone know if the jdm version shares the same internals as the usdm/eudm version? Gears and such

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?
I really like the reel, so I will have it fixed. Haven't tried any other reel that quite compare to the feeling of this one.

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?
Interesting.
If I understand it correctly the spool gets kind of stuck when it hits the bottom of the rotor?

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?
I might wait the 12 days. Not really sure if i'm going to though. Having problems enjoying the reel when I know something is not right. I hope the warranty covers it, but if not, i'll have no problems paying to get it fixed. This really sucks. I was looking to pick up a second exist for next year, b...

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?
Thanks for the answer guys. It feels like something scrubs internally , as you said. Should not be the case with such an expensive reel. I have already contacted Daiwa locally, and I will send it to them for repairs. Trout seasons ends in 12 days here. Should I avoid using the reel, and just send it...

Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?
Hello, I recently got a brand new Daiwa Exist LT FC 2000S-P from Japan, and I have fished it for a little over a week. Yesterday I think started feeling a slight abrasion/resistance(possibly) in the handle, when turning the reel at low speed. It's not very pronounced, but I can feel something transm...

Re: Looking for recommandations for a UL trout rod
Which Bellezza model do you use? UL model seems the way to go for me, but not quite sure .
Looks i'll have to use a proxy service to acquire the rod from Rakuten. Probably going to be a little more expensive, but it looks like it's worth it.

Re: Looking for recommandations for a UL trout rod
Small update: Thanks alot for the recommendations guys. I got my package from digitaka an hour ago. 5 days shipping from Japan to a remote village in Norway is insane to me, and the gear is cheaper than here. This is wild. I received a Major Craft Finetail FAX 632UL, Daiwa Exist FC LT2000S-P, Sunlin...

Re: Best and/or cheapest option for importing JDM gear?
Thanks for the reply. I'm planning to order a Graphiteleader Super Bellezza rod in the near future, I could only find it on Rakuten at the moment. I have been ordering from Digitaka and Plat, but they don't stock this rod. I will look into the Rakuten Global Express to see how well it works. If not ...
