Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

Hasn't diawa used their dura aluminum gears successfully for years in alot of their higher end reels including steez? The reason I ask is that I'm puzzled as to why they would go brass for the usdm market if the result of doing so meant adding a half ounce of weight. Is it purely because the America...

How do they balance? I’m assuming that the EMTF will balance good because it’s a Megabass.

They both balance well with a Metanium B on them but I fish an aldebaran 50 mgl on my adrena because I use it as a moving bait rod. It's my primary jackhammer setup.

I put 90mm handles on all 4 of mine. No complaints.
Which handles did you go with?

Re: Your most versatile rod?

Megabass orochi XX EMTF Gen 2 & Shimano Posion Adrena 7'3MH. Both are very very versatile sticks. Which rod between these two has a faster taper? They are very close in taper. It does feel like once you get to the backbone the emtf has slightly more power. It's worth noting the emtf however longer ...

What longer handles have you guys found good on the CT?
I put on a 85mm RCS and it feels good on the reel. Here's a 90mm RCS from a board sponsor:

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

The act of exaggeration is acceptable for a manufacturer when promoting a high end product as well as a paid sponsors review but not by a slightly dissapointed consumer. Got it 👌 If you are trying to infer Daiwa paid for that preview article I wrote, or any other review on this site, you are sadly ...

[/quote] While he did break down 2 reels and give his conclusions, that's not all he did. There was a little gratuitous drama attached. The poster's disappointment was slightly disingenuous imho. While he is entitled to his opinion, as we all are, the exaggerated response seemed a bit childish to me...

Re: Daiwa Steez ct sv or metanium 2020

I've had that rod. A steez ct won't allow for any balance and neither will a Metanium. Unfortunately, that rod is built to have a bantam on it otherwise you need a butt cap. It does seem a bit odd to have such a lightweight rod that needs an 8 oz reel to balance it 🤦‍♂️

For a guy that has said, I will not be watching the video... You seem to not be short on definitive opinions about the video. And if you would actually watch the video, statements like this, The second opinion bearing has been on every single Daiwa I've owned. Certainly he didn't think that was a n...
