Spro has a similar box too. I'm teetering on the edge of ordering the Spro and Gamakatsu 388. I guess I have another option to look at now. Off topic, but Gamakatsu has a killer shoulder bag too.
I'm a sucker for bags and boxes and organization.

Re: Who do you fish with the Most ?
Well, I have my self and my 3 inner me's.
So there's 4 of us?
I've had fishing buddies through the years, but folks grow apart, ya know? Nowadays I'm a solo act.

Re: Clacutta te 201 vs te 201gt
I have the TE 200GT. Still one of my main reels. Bulletproof. More bearings and the spool were the big things between the regular and the GT. Some other minor stuff, but it was mostly about the bearings. IIRC, the GT was one of the first uber priced baitcasters, and pretty much the direct predecesso...

Re: Tackle Storage - In house VS garage
In the house, by default. (No garage.)
I'd keep it inside anyway. I'm stupidly OCD about the care and condition of my stuff. Rods on a rack, reels in a display case.

Re: Bass Fishing Not Very Popular?
Hello fellow guitar player! TGP can be a rough place. How many of those 44 replies were just parrots and chameleons trying to sound like the cool kids and hunting for likes? This place is more about bass gear than technique or any other fishing. The saltwater sub here is dead/depressing, and I feel ...
Re: Backpacks
15 years is a good run for a tackle bag. I wouldn't expect anything made nowadays to last anywhere near that long. Today's society wants new every couple years, and not many manufacturers are gonna put the extra into their products to last any longer. Really why would they? It's really a shame. I ha...

Re: Shallow spinning reel spools. Help a brother understand.
Thanks for all the info folks. You definitely have my appreciation and respect for trying to help. I know mostly all of this already though. I guess I was hoping for some new crazy insight I hadn't thought about before. UL reels are being developed and tuned for freshwater and braid, and mono is (ha...

Shallow spinning reel spools. Help a brother understand.
So it's finally time I ask an embarrassing question. I've looked for answers (years), found what sounds to me like marketing BS mostly. Other answers have sounded like regurgitated facts based on baitcasting tech... I understand the physics behind shallow spools for baitcasters. Makes total sense. L...

Re: Top 5 Hardbaits of All Time
Seems like that good old Rapala floater never goes out of style. Makes me happy. That 4 3/8" #11 silver minnow has probably caught more fish for me over the years than anything else. Years is the key word there. They've been around so long, it's a simple case of math being on their side. I remember ...

Re: Brand Loyalty?
It's more brand "trust" for me, and over the years the list of brands I trust has grown and a couple have fallen off the list. Lost faith in modern Penn and Ambassadors mostly. I still have, use, and love some older stuff from both of them though. I've also picked up Quantum and Okuma spinners that ...

Re: It’s 2018, why are you buying reels from the past
I'm not really buying old tackle, it's more a case of the old stuff still works. I wouldn't mind having something new, but the amount that I'd have to spend to surpass what I have isn't in the budget.
I guess there is some old stuff that would be cool to have, mostly from a nostalgia POV though.

Re: Any Panfish Enthusiast On TackleTour?
A few months ago, I caught a big ole bluegill on a crankbait. So, I went back the next week with 2 pound test and had a blast. http://instagr.am/p/CeXc8BcrpB0/ It's funny how bluegill are the first fish mano of us have caught and as we get older, we go back to them. Ha! Truth. I've said that about ...

Re: New SLP Millionaire
I love the Millionaires, and this one looks hot. Took a few seconds to appreciate the green, but it would look awesome with a nice matching rod. Also on the fence about the cork knobs, but that's a personal thing, I think it would feel and look better with black EVA. I'd like to echo DirtyD's post ...
