Re: Mark Zona Hook Set Technique

I don't think Zona will ever say exactly what he's doing. If you are a fan of him, you know he gives a different explanation every time he talks about it. You've seen KVD do it too when they fish Mich. Lakes together. Here's another version of the "scootin'" techique... same principle http://vimeo.c...

Re: new curado?

I think Mark Zona was using the prototype Curado in the episode last week with Hackney. If you look hard enough, you may see it for a few secs. ;)

Re: The new 2013 Shimano Cumara rods

I recently got a CUCX711HA on a trade-in and it's a beautiful rod. The rod is very tip heavy, so you may want to look into a balancer cap if you like your combo balanced.

Re: Binsky - Blade Bait! WOW!!!!

Your hybrids (the broken lines kinda give hybrids this distinction) look like fish that swim in moving water? Ours out here are usually chubbier/shorter as they are usually stocked lake/resevoir fish and gorge on shad and trout. . The hybrid where Jerry and I live are introduced by the state for re...

Re: Clearwater jigs and spinnerbaits

RMD spinnerbait in pond smelt, if you really want to downside, use the beatle spin wire and attach a hair jig or a small fluke style bait. Don't forget the roadrunner heads with small plastics also.

Re: Binsky - Blade Bait! WOW!!!!

I've tried the binsky for bass and walleye, with minimal success. This is a very good video on how guys on the Great Lakes fish them. He covers everything including all different type of blades he use, the last one in his hand is the Binsky that Jerry C mention. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLOoW...

You have to buy it directly if you want the 3/4 size and the sexy shad/chart colors.

The profile is the same but the eyes on the 3/4 will be green.
