Re: Daiwa Tatula 300 Question

Does anyone happen to know the proper size for the handle?

My 300 just arrived and I can't figure out if its 7x4mm or 8x5mm?

I see that some Tatula are 8x5mm but I don't know if that applies to all of them (and I don't have my calipers handy)

Thanks

Great Hunting vs. "Huntsman"

My BFS obsession has led me down a lot of rabbit holes. The newest one has been searching for a Megabass Great Hunting Huntsman 48 UL rod. Looks like the Hook Up Tackle has stock coming in early spring. The Huntsman is kind of my holy grail and most sought after item at this point. Small stream fish...

Reel Display Stands

Does anyone have any reel stands they recommend for displaying reels? Predominantly BFS casting reels, but maybe an ultralight spinning reel or two

I see a few on AliExpress, but nothing really domestically. Trying to avoid waiting weeks for something to show up if its not going to work. Thanks

Re: JDM Ultralight Spinning Reel..... and rod?

So far I've added the following to the collection Diawa Presso 1000 Abu Garcia Zenon 1000(delivers today so I haven't fished it) My main target with these is small wild trout streams in NJ. They're typically tight, rocky, mostly pocket water with a decent size pool here and there. I'm fishing almost...

Re: JDM Ultralight Spinning Reel..... and rod?

Budget? Regards If I know its going to perform better than the equipment I have(accuracy, distance), and offer a more premium feel I'm pretty open. I was expecting $200-300 for the reel, and probably the same for the rod. Though if what I'm looking for is below that no reason not to save or pick up...

JDM Ultralight Spinning Reel..... and rod?

Hey everybody, I've been really enjoying ultralight gear/fishing for the last two seasons. I rarely pull out my "heavy" stuff(medium, medium heaving casting and spinning) equipment anymore. I've taken a deep dive into BFS and accumulated a number of JDM reels. From XUL to Light these have ...

Re: KastKing Kestrel Elite BFS

My feelings are pretty similar. I’ve got about 5 outings on the Kestrel. So far it’s been limited to 1/16-1/8th Oz crank baits and 1/32-1/16th jig heads with micro plastics. It’s had no problem casting them with good distance. Like just about everyone else I’ve found I need to run the brakes very li...
