$69 for a Fuego CT seems like a steal. Good to know they stack up close to the CTs. I love my CTs.

Alabama Rig Advice...
This is another technique that I want to get better at this year. I've thrown an A-rig some with success the past couple of years, but I can see where there is a lot of room for improvement for me with it. So I have a couple of questions about it for you more experienced A-riggers... 1. I find the r...

Carolina rig Advice...
I know a C-rig is basic fishing knowledge to most, but I have very little expeience with it because down here in South La we fish mostly shallow water bayous and canals where a c-rig really isn't a common technique we use. However, I've started fishing Toledo Bend and other oxbows around here that h...

Re: Daiwa Tatula OR Shimano Citica CI200I
Depends on the application I think... if you've used Daiwas and/or Shimanos before, do you have a typical preference between the two in general? There are some fundamental differences between Shimano and Daiwa and some prefer one or the other.. magnetic vs centrifugal braking, etc. I own both of the...

Re: Dobyns Extreme HP up on website
Those new hp's look nice. You had a tournament in january? Crap... Yea, down here in South Louisiana we have tournaments year round! As far as sensitivity and feel Fishing4Fun... I have always felt like previous model Dobyns rods were plenty sensitive for me, but I do feel like the HP steps it up f...

Re: Dobyns Extreme HP up on website
Well, I got to test the HP 703 out today on the water and needless to say, I was really, really happy with it. It caught my two biggest fish in the tournament! First off, the rod feels very light and balanced in hand just like all my past Dobyns rods have, nothing changed there. Where I do notice a ...

Re: Dobyns Extreme HP up on website
Got a HP DX703C on the way... I'll let y'all know how I like it when I get it. I've owned every generation of the Dobyns rods, so I'm anxious to get my hands on this new HP series and test her out Saturday in my first tournament of the year!

Re: Gear Ratio for 1/4 oz crankbaits
Any of the reels with a gear ration around 6.2-6.5 would work great for those light mid-depth cranks. I prefer this same gear ratio for my shallow square bills and have a lot of these reels available in my arsenal, so it works out well for me.

Re: Daiwa Tatula 7'2"MHRB or 7'2"HFB
For warranty, just go on their website and follow return instructions. I have sent a few rods back and in a week I have a new one. Daiwa has great warranty service. Shipped the rod out yesterday to Daiwa... so hopefully they send me a replacement! I'll let y'all know what happens. What rod did you ...

Re: Tatula or Lew's
I have 4 Lews Lites and 3 Tatulas...if that tells you how close it is for me. Haha. I'd go with the Lews between the two but it's not a very wide gap at all between them. The pluses for the Lews Lite are the palmability, low weight, and solid casting/pitching performance. Where the Tatula shines is ...

Re: Three rods to do it all? Which brand?
I'd go with these 3.... Dobyns 703 - This rod will fish literally anything in that 1/4-3/4 oz range.. spinnerbaits, texas rigs, weightless plastics, small swimbaits, buzzbaits, smaller traps, square bill cranks, chatterbaits, smaller jigs, etc Dobyns 704 - Similar to the 703, this rod will fish all ...

Re: New Curado 70
Looks like a fantastic reel. Though if it makes that same squealing noise on the cast that the 200i makes, I won't be owning any of them. If they fix that noise issue, I may own 5 of these. Justin Read the directions and you won't have the problem. still happens if you follow the directions. This i...

Re: Pam's new Zillion
Very nice. I was wondering who's Zillion that was... I actually got my wife a Scorpion 1000XT painted by Decade Works based off this same color scheme. I'm still waiting to get mine back, but no doubt it'll be gorgeous. I'll post some pictures up of it when I get it. I've shown the progress pictures...
