Re: Announcing DaveJ/Shinner's Paddle Tail Reverse Grip Give

This is a version of the famous Shinner's grip that we use in the South and is called Inverted SRG. I hope will qualify for the giveaway contest. This is also my first fish on the Shell Cracker Floater. Hit the local pond after work, temperature at 76 degrees, clear, wind of 10 m/h and stained water...

I have to change it on my Scorpion, not my fault and Shimano Japan did it w/o charge other than S&H.

And you are right, they are graphite, I could see it on my broken part.

Why do we upgrade when we can get the top of the line for about the same $$$$???????????????????????????? :?: Avid in my modest expirience I have noted a significant inprovement in performance when I upgraded the bearings of any of my reels regarless model or tag price,,,,and I most likely ...

Re: Reel & Rod protective coating

Thought I would give this a bump. Is anyone using a protective coating on their reels or rods? If so what and how does it perform? Wax on the blank and reel seat and Cork Sealer U-40 on cork handle. For the reels a thing coat of oil applied with a gun cleaning patch every time I re-oil the bearings.

My only experience with LC swimbaits was with the Real California 130 Premium. I though the action was terrible and broke 2 fins the 3rd time I used it.

Re: If I buy a SB rod...

I have the Powell H and the Okuma 7.6 MH, both great rods and under
$ 200.00, I like it better than the Crucials and the are lighter. Okuma has a superb warranty.
I'm also waiting for the GD Mike Long.
