the latch unscrews fine.it's the latch itself that's the problem.i can just about lift with out useing a screwdriver on some other type of tool.

the hatch on the side plate is very difficult to open.i have used air in a can to blow out any debris and have placed a drop of oil on the hinge and worked it a bit,but as soon as i close the hatch is becomes difficult again.i would like to send it in but traded my calais 100 for the 200.not sure if...

heading to Bacaracc in Nov.just wondering if anyone has had any problems bringing a DC reel through customs? i'm worried that while in Mexico customs i will have trouble explaining that the digital circuit is not a bomb.

your right the fish does not have to eat it,but the law of averages will fall into place.you keep throwing a swimbait and sooner or later a big fish will eat it.also do not get to hung up on conditions.fish do not read the books.
