Re: Foregrip or no foregrip?

i prefer a small foregrip on a thread cover type hood. the fuji pts hood looks to be long enough that i could probably do it without a foregrip. i'm really wanting to put a rod together this winter (my 1st) and am trying to decide on exactly this now. i have a pts seat with the thread cover, but may...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

i have found the tatula sv to work best for me, so that is a plus on this reel. the tatula really feels like the og fuego to me in hand, so i view it more from that perspective than "zillion is just a higher priced tatula".

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

oh boy...more black reels!! i'm not sure i need a reel that fast. i sometimes think i used to catch more fish when my fastest reel was 28" ipt. i couldn't really tell much from the video, other than brake dial looks to be more protected. is this new zillion on the same frame as the tat elite/...

Re: Steez Fire wolf

i'm interested in austalian version..i thinks it's called shore competition. it has what looks like the old tds reel seat on it. rod ratings are the same as the steez flexlite m power. i have absolutely no idea how to get 1 here in the usa though

Re: Deep cranking rod

i'm not a deep cranker, although every couple of years i tell myself to dedicate some time to it. last time i thought i needed a deep set up, i got a 7'9 one3 defy crank rod. i was actually pretty impressed for $60!! i also have the 7' & 7'3 in the chrome series, and it's a step up from the defy. i ...

Re: Tackle Tour LIVE

be sure to post the replay of the live show on youtube.

i end up watching more live flw coverage than bass or mlf because it's on youtube. i don't have cable or sat, only roku. i can watch flw live and not tie my phone up or drain the battery. hopefully mlf won't screw it up next year.

Re: Sensitive Moving Bait Rods

My opinion is to go with as sensitive a rod you can afford for any technique you normally use as it will make you more efficient on the water. So what’s your opinion on this subject? I am 100% in agreement with this. One of my favorite moving bait rods is the Steez AGS 72MHRB. It's incredibly versa...

Re: spinning rod suggestions?

The Fuji VSS with the nut down is my spinning seat choice. The good thing about custom is that you can go minimalist (my preference), or you can add all of the Matagi bling and fancy wraps to get your rod to Megabass style. Make sure that you have a builder near you if you decide not to do it yours...

Re: spinning rod suggestions?

thanks for the heads up on the reel seats. i wish they had the airbeam, but they just have the squid. this rod will be used for 1/8-1/4 jigheads, either w a finesse worm or small swimbait, and also some dropshot with probably 1/4 or 3/8oz weights. i've got an old ml daiwa fuego that works well for a...

spinning rod suggestions?

i'm planning a good spinning rod as my next major purchase. i was thinking the 7' m steez ags, but then it occured to me that all builders have access to the reel seat daiwa uses on spinning, just not the airbeam casting seats. i'm pretty much stuck buying daiwa for casting rods. i'm pretty sure i c...

Re: Daiwa Lexa LT

after this thread, i got to checking these reels out and like the cosmetics. i'm really tired of the blacked out scheme. i'm looking for a new spinning reel, and will be using straight fc. i've tried to get on the braid/leader bandwagon, but it just doesn't work for me. would line management be bett...

Re: Football Jigs

i hardly ever fish fb jigs, even in rocky lakes. ballhead jigs work better for me. they just seem to hang up less.

i second using cadman for anything!! he makes up a light wire brush jig for me.
