Re: Seaguar fishing line

i use 15# red label for spinnerbaits & cranks, and have had no problems with it. i tried it for plastics & jigs, but didnt really care for it. i use 17# assassin for that and have had no issues. no experience with abrazx, but invizx didn't work out as well as i had hoped on a spinning reel. ...

Re: Impressions of new Tatula rods?

seems like daiwa's moving away from their seats which really sucks. the airbeam is just so much more comfortable to me than any other rods i have.

Reel seat comparison - tatula elite & steez xt

Im a ig fan of the air beam reel seat, and am looking for a mh power rod, but it looks like the steez xt is going away. Anyone have both of these rods and could give me a comparison? The tat elite seat appears to be more similar to a fuji ecsm, but i havent actually seen or felt 1. I do know most of...

Re: It’s 2018, why are you buying reels from the past

These companies have to constantly reinvent themselves and their products, or they are slagged by everyone. I think a lot of people are totally happy with not new & improved. I seem to always have the ability (whether it's fishing gear or guitars) to really like what no one else's wants, so the ...

Re: Steez XT

Anyone any experience on the Steez XT (particular 7'4'' Heavy)? Considering the rod as a heavy jig rod. How is the sensitivity? Thanks! I've got the XH frog rod and use it for big jigs. The rod balances well with a tat sv and it's not as heavy powered in the tip as you might think. Sensitivity is s...

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

I havent been to batesville in a few years. The last time i was there was playing music at a wedding reception downtown at an old place that someone turned in to kind of a "cool old rustic vibe/kinda high price" place. It was rather cool i must say lol

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

Also just watched the most recent Project T 2018 video... Some of the scenes show the Tatula 100 with the black lock plate on the handle nut and then the other scenes show the ultra tacky plastic one. The end picture with the top view ALWAYS shows the plastic nut cover though, and so do the product...

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

For some reason, i think if the zillion's gone we'll see a tatula elite reel show up at some point.

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

The IPT listed on Daiwa's website suggests it has a 33mm spool It is VERY close to the Steez A's IPT. I think it is really great they are using the frame from such a higher end reel, BUT... That's about all they are doing. It doesn't get a free floating spool, still has the basic Tatula bearing loc...

Re: Best braid for spinning reels?

Just bought the YGK G Soul sinking braid. Pretty impressed with it. Was using SX1 which I thought was excellent. I've been wanting to try YGK. I have never been able to get on with braid, unless it's tight everything just feels dead with it to me. I see TW has a new version that has an FC core and ...
