Re: My 101DC Needs a New Rod

Hi, having done some research and after a time talking to a friend of mine who has always given me some advice about tackle stuff (and primarly thanks to GamblerH's advice). I think I have decided to go for a glass rod. Advantages I see are: range of casting weights could be a little wider, meaning ...

Re: My 101DC Needs a New Rod (or Entering the Very Dark Side

Hi GH and thanks for your answer, If you were usually 1oz or lower I would have a recommendation. I would rather consistently stay under 1 Oz, do I understand it right, that your recommendation is the Super Nova Husky? If I see it right, that is a glass rod? Up to now, I've only used graphite rods, ...

Re: My 101DC Needs a New Rod (or Entering the Very Dark Side

Thank you very much for your answers, until now it has been a very big help. With weights up to 1 1/4oz...MH is probably going to be overtaxed That means, if I take a MB, you would better recommend to keep to the indicated casting weight? For example going up to a 1 Oz casting weight? In that case, ...

My 101DC Needs a New Rod

Hi Tackle Tourers, Christmas is getting closer and I need a nice rod to spend my hard earned money in. It is supposed to build a beautiful and permanent relationship with my Conquest 101DC. Applications: Crankbaits, jerkbaits and lipless jerkbaits up to 40 gr. (about 1-1/4 Oz). And the rod should be...

Re: Pike anglers read.

Man, I wish I had a swimbait stick id be able to use a lot of whats been metioned but most my rods are Bass specific with lighter actions I am sure you have a MH or H flipping rod (CW about 1 Oz or 1 1/2 Oz), and if the rod's action is fast, there you are, you can take that to pull pikes out of wee...

Re: Pike anglers read.

Hi, I'd also recommend Johnson Silver Minnow or a Doctor Spoon Weedless Doc or Papa doc, you can fish it in a very variable way, so you can cover a lot of situations with it. Spinnerbaits are also very useful, Bucktails and glider baits (Magic Maker, for example) are also a lure of choice. When weat...

Cabelas? Yes, perhaps.

Basspro? No, ...no way...not at all. Exactly the opposite!

Re: JDM reels: Are we being ripped off?

About FBass comments: Basspro and cabeals have long forgotten that I do not know about Cabelas, but Basspro and TWH they offer excellent service with shipping for a very good price, no extra fees whatsoever. You can obtain real good stuff at excellent prices when you buy from them from Germany, for ...

Re: JDM reels: Are we being ripped off?

Hi, That is a very valuable piece of information to get! Thanks to our Asian members of TT-Forum fot that. Ripping is not a nice word though. I mean, if we do not ask for discount or rebate, the sellers will not give it to us. In their place, I would not do it either. We just have to chage our buyin...

Re: Non-Swimbait Rod, Swimbait Rod

Hi Hve you taken these into consideration? "very normal" (not enthusiast like) St Croix Premiers? PC76HF 7' 6" H Fast 1 12 - 25 1/2 - 1 1/2 or this Musky Rod: PM610MF 6' 10" M Fast 1 17 - 30 1/2 - 2 (perhaps a little bit too stiff for Bass fishing) One Avid: AC710HF 7' 10" H Fast 1-tel. 12 - 30 1/2 ...

Re: sayonara Ginrinpeche?

First of all, I must say, that I like GP and that I have never have any bad experiences with him. I like GP as much as I like Plat, or BPS or TWH or Muskyshop, etc.... My sources are impeccable. Well, talking about bankruptcy can be very relative. General Motors has been actually bankrupt for many y...
