Re: My New Defective Kistler Rod or Typo
Ok, I talked to Kistler. They said that the website has a typo for the specs I mentioned. They offered me a full refund or to take the rod back and make it to the "stated specs". FYI: Simmons did not know about the typo either. Their service was fast, as they actually called Kistler. He too offered ...

Re: My New Defective Kistler Rod or Typo
I already emailed Simmons and Kistler about my problem and am awaiting a reply. One other thing I noticed was that the black rubber winding check in front of the reel seat is not glued. When i moved the winding check forward I noticed there is a 2mm to 3mm gap inbetween the blank and the inside edge...

My New Defective Kistler Rod or Typo
I purchased a 7' H MG TS Jig and Toad rod recently, which was delivered today. I purchased the rod from Simmons Sporting Goods Ebay store, which is a Kistler dealer. The rod is listed as having the following specifications: DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS: Action: Fast Length: 7' Power: Heavy Lure weight: 1...

Re: daiwa rods
I would go with the TDS, mainly the 7' MH worm Jig rod. This rod is just about all purpose. It can pitch light jigs and worms, throw traps, spinner baits and buzzbaits. I even fish top waters and jerkbaits with it. I have heard a lot of bad things about the Tough and Light: Cork foregrip ripping and...

Shimano Cumara CUCX72MH
I am considering a Shimano Cumara CUCX72MH rod, mainly for the value of the warranty. I was considering a Kistler MG TS rod, but the Cumara seems better. How would this rod be for pitching 1/4 to 3/8oz jigs? It has an extra fast tip? So pitching should not be a problem, but does it have the stout ba...

Re: Kistler Jig Rods Action
Does anyone have the MG Magnum worm rod? It is a heavy action, but not described as a broomstick. 1/4oz to 1oz, heavy fast. Would you say the mag worm is stiffer than the MG APC MH, but not as stiff as the Heavy jig and toad? I am looking for something that has a tip to facilitate casting and pitchi...

Kistler Jig Rods Action
I am looking for a 7' MH or H action rod for pitching 1/4 to 3/8 oz jigs, 3/4 oz C-Rigs, Pitching 3/16oz T rigs, and throwing frogs. I have narrowed it downt to three rods: Kistler 7' Magnum Worm Rod, Heavy: http://www.kistlerrods.com/p/KR/c-mt-worm-fishing-jig-rods/MgMWCRH70.html Kistler 7' Jig and...

Shimano Scorp 1000 Vs Curado 100D
I owned both reels and am curious what makes them tick. The Scorp outcasted and outperformed the Curado. Gears: Scorp: Brass Curado: Aluminum Brakes: Scorp: SVS Curado: Green / Red VBS Handle: Scorp: Short Curado: Longer Bearings: 5ea Scorp: Don't know ABEC# ( feels better) Curado:Don't know Abec # ...

http://bassbuzz.outdoorsfanmedia.com/br_news_article.asp?thecat=3&ID=49 Above is a link to more specs about the Revo Premier. Most of the new parts are duraluminum. Here's how the two Revo models stack up beyond just weight: Bearings Part of the Revo Premier's weight reduction is in the number of ba...

Broke a TDS Rod, Warranty
I purchased a 7' MH TD-S worm/jig rods from Simmons Sporting Goods on Ebay back in Feb. of this year. I was out fishing last night with a TDS reel, 12lb line, and a 1/4oz jig on the rod. I went to set the hook, not a hard hookset, and the tip broke between the 2nd and 3rd guides from the tip on a 14...

Re: DEPS new Flipping editons
Do the rods have EVA or hyphalon grips?
Not to hijack the post, but does not having an exposed blank reel seat effect the sensitivity of the rod?
Thanks,
HW

Re: Zillion tune-up spool???
It looks like the IZE HLC spool for the Zillion has the tapered Type R rotor? What are the specs? Is it a mag V or Mag Z spool? Line Capacity? Weight (15g) as compared to stock spool / Fuego spool? http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22_81_84_107_114&products_id=183 What would ...

ZPI Products @ BPS for 08 and Lucky Craft US Rods??
I receive the Lucky Craft E-newsletter. It stated that ZPI products will be sold at Bass Pro Shops and that Lucky Craft Rods will be available in the US. Any links to the rods, they were not pictured. I have seen both the European and American versions of Lucky Craft’s new rods and am pleasantly sur...

JDM Style Rod Butt Caps
Hi, I was looking at a Shimano Crucial rod in my local tackle shop, I noticed it had a JDM style Butt Cap with a Japanese character. I am thinking about custom building a few rods over the winter. Is there a source to order these butt caps? I do not beleive they are weight balancing caps, but they a...

Information on Abu Revo Premier
I found this on another site. The drive gear is not brass, but duraluminum (as are most parts in this reel). I like the different spool porting. On the fence about when I am going to get. I really thought we would see a 5.3 or 5.1 version for cranking this year. http://bassbuzz.outdoorsfanmedia.com/...
