Re: Crawford knot for fluorocarbon?
Well I saw my friend tie one a couple of times, he said it was a real good knot, and I well, well, my eyes glazed over as he showed me this. I didn't yawn but I felt like it. Its like pearl before swine. You asked.

Re: Wave Tiki Stick vs. Yamamoto Senko
So I've never tried this but this makes sense, from Western Bass.com Don Iovino video presentation at a sportsman show, basically you thread a peg it through the eye of the hook, wedge it in their and cut it down to form a small cross, then just pull the hook eye with the plastic peg it into the bod...

Re: Sunline Sniper - overtest or accurate?
I bought 5# Sniper, it holds a 5# dumbell using the palomar knot just fine giving it a slow lift, giving it a little jerk pops it. So I gotta say overtest in my case since knots are supposed to be weaker than the line, I might not fully understand terms like impact or acceleration yet.

I'm not exactly sure this might be a colder water lure based on your locations but could be wrong. What's the water temperature during the summer in some place like Michigan?

Too Complicated
If you only could use four rods this fall what techniques would you guys use. I go to split shotting and drop shot I would say 90% of the time, maybe I'm missing something good.

So anyway play the video. I heard good things about this Jam Knot and the guy demonstrates, I think its more informative than knot charts. http://www.vicious-fishing.com/vicious- ... rchive.php

Re: yozuri hybrid line
Yozuri hybrid is more for baitcasters and is stronger than ultra soft but has more memory at the begining of the day but loses the memory as the day progress. Ultra Soft is more for spinning rods and people that hate all memory all the time so its limper but weaker at the same diameter as Hybrid. Bo...

Re: Casting into the wind
So I was watching a fishing show. It was like the president of Shimano North America casting iron for Calico bass or whatever comes his way at Catalina. So basically never ending chuck and whind. Whatever but what basically came out was 90% plus of all backlashes are caused by a rod tip not being st...

Re: Fuoro vs. Mono real world results?
I would like to say Carbon Pro 8# has a 6# diameter and I always get trout drop shotting roboworms and 5# Sunline Sniper. My friend never gets trout on 8#XL dropshotting roboworms, its bass all the time for him. 2# fluro gets bitten better on weekends better than 2# mono in Suburbia for trout. But d...

Re: Decent rod for under $60
I think those Clarus Rods by Shimano is worth a look and they also come with a pretty good factory warranty as I rememember.
