Sorry don't know where the pic went. Hopefully you can see them now.
Thanks.

Yup you are right it's the RX8+ that St. Croix makes for them.
Thanks.

Re: Anyone tried Rainshadow Rx8 blanks?
I'm pretty sure the RX8 blanks are built by St. Croix or at least they used to be.

Re: Seamless Grip
Lance from Swampland is selling them- http://swamplandtackle.com/Phenix_Split ... tails.aspx
This is the first one I've used and it's pretty comfortable. Sorry that's all I know about them.

Re: Seamless Grip
Thanks Mark.
Yes it took quite a bit more time than a conventional setup would. I'm not worried about it being slippery, the grips shape determines if it would be hard to hold when wet.
Thanks again.

Paint jobs with metal flake the size of your fingernail. They were cool looking cars.

That would probably be nice, but I'm all done with doing fancy wraps. Next one might have pinstripes?dragon1 wrote:Adding some decorative wrap would be a very unique look and give a kool feel/texture.

Re: fellow builder help.
Sorry I don't have any that would fit. I have butt sections from that blank but no pieces from that part of the blank. You could email Seeker and ask them, or worse case you could buy another blank to cannibalize for the section you need.
Good luck.

I don't know if I'm keeping it or going to sell it, if I keep it I have a red Pixy that would look good on her.

Re: Seamless Grip
Thank you. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I was originally thinking of painting everything black, but since the blank is matte black I decided to go with the Candy Apple Red. I think the next one will be black!
Thanks again.

Used the new Phenix split reel seat and molded the rest of the handle so there are no seams or gaps on any parts. It's been quite a while since I did much painting, the Candy ...

Another vote for Bingham Enterprises, Karen is great to deal with. Lance at Swampland is also very helpful. Mudhole does have a great website, but I only use them for things no one else has.
Good luck.

Pretty sure it's a marketing thing. You could always mock up the guides and test cast it both ways to see if you like it.
